4. Installation

The Evenflo Solare Car Seat can be installed in two orientations: rear-facing for infants and forward-facing for toddlers and older children.

4.1. Rear-Facing Installation (2.2 kg - 13 kg)

For infants, the car seat must be installed in a rear-facing position. This provides the best protection for your child's head, neck, and spine.

  1. Place the car seat on the vehicle seat, ensuring it is level.
  2. Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated rear-facing belt path.
  3. Buckle the vehicle seat belt and pull firmly to remove all slack. The car seat should not move more than 2.5 cm (1 inch) side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
  4. Adjust the recline position to ensure the child's head does not fall forward.

4.2. Forward-Facing Installation (9 kg - 25 kg)

For toddlers and older children who meet the weight and height requirements, the car seat can be installed in a forward-facing position.

  1. Place the car seat on the vehicle seat, facing forward.
  2. Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated forward-facing belt path.
  3. Buckle the vehicle seat belt and pull firmly to remove all slack. The car seat should not move more than 2.5 cm (1 inch) side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
  4. Attach the top tether strap to the vehicle's tether anchor point and tighten.

  3. Insert both buckle tongues into the buckle until they click.

5.2. Adjusting Headrest and Harness Height

The headrest and harness height can be adjusted simultaneously to accommodate your growing child. Locate the adjustment lever at the top of the headrest and squeeze it while sliding the headrest up or down to the desired position. Ensure the harness straps are at or just below your child's shoulders for rear-facing, and at or just above for forward-facing.

5.3. Adjusting Recline Position

The Evenflo Solare Car Seat offers 4 recline positions. To adjust, locate the recline handle (usually at the front or side base of the seat), squeeze it, and tilt the seat to the desired angle. Ensure the seat is in the correct recline for the installation mode (rear-facing or forward-facing).

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning Instructions

The car seat features removable and washable covers for easy cleaning.

6.2. Storage

When not in use, store the car seat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not place heavy objects on the car seat during storage.
