1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Blaupunkt Portable Evaporative Air Conditioner. This manual provides important information regarding the safe operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your appliance. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
This evaporative air conditioner is designed to provide personal comfort by cooling, ventilating, and humidifying the air. It also features an ionizer function for improved air quality.

2. Important Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons.
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- Do not use outdoors. This appliance is for indoor use only.
- Do not allow water to enter the control panel or electrical components.
- Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning, servicing, or moving.
- Ensure the water tank is properly seated and filled before operating the cooling function.
- Keep the appliance away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Do not block air inlets or outlets.
- Supervise children and ensure they do not play with the appliance.

4. Setup and Initial Use
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the appliance from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport. Check for any damage during transit. If the unit is damaged, do not operate it and contact customer support.
4.2 Positioning
Place the air conditioner on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit (at least 20 cm) for proper airflow. Do not place it directly against a wall or in a corner that restricts air circulation. For optimal cooling, position the unit near an open window or door to allow fresh air intake.
4.3 Filling the Water Tank
- Pull out the water tank from the rear of the unit.
- Fill the tank with clean tap water. Do not exceed the "MAX" fill line indicated on the tank. The tank capacity is 6 liters.
- For enhanced cooling, you may place the provided ice packs (after freezing them) into the water tank.
- Carefully slide the water tank back into the unit until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely closed to prevent leaks.

4.4 Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (220-240V, 50Hz). The unit will emit a beep sound, and the digital display will light up, indicating it is in standby mode.
5. Operating Instructions
The unit can be operated using the control panel on top of the unit or the remote control.

5.1 Control Panel and Remote Functions
| Button/Function | Description |
|---|---|
| ON/OFF | Powers the unit on or off. |
| SPEED | Cycles through fan speeds: Low (1000 rpm), Medium (1150 rpm), High (1250 rpm). |
| TIMER | Sets the auto-off timer from 1 to 12 hours. Each press increases the timer by 1 hour. |
| SWING | Activates or deactivates the automatic horizontal oscillation of the louvers for wider air distribution. |
| COOLER | Activates the evaporative cooling function. Requires water in the tank. The water pump will start. |
| ION | Activates or deactivates the ionizer function, which helps to purify the air. |
5.2 Operating Modes
- Fan Mode: The unit operates as a fan, circulating air at the selected speed. The COOLER function is off.
- Cooling Mode: With water in the tank and the COOLER function activated, the unit provides evaporative cooling, humidifying the air as it cools.
- Ionizer Mode: Can be activated independently or in conjunction with Fan or Cooling modes to release negative ions into the air.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your appliance.
6.1 General Cleaning
- Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure no water enters the control panel or electrical components.
6.2 Water Tank Cleaning
To prevent mold and mildew growth, clean the water tank regularly, especially if the unit is used frequently or stored for extended periods.
- Unplug the unit.
- Pull out the water tank.
- Empty any remaining water.
- Clean the tank with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
- Dry the tank completely before reinserting it into the unit.
6.3 Air Filter/Cooling Pad Cleaning
The air filter and cooling pad should be cleaned periodically to maintain airflow and cooling efficiency.
- Unplug the unit.
- Locate the filter compartment at the rear of the unit (behind the water tank).
- Remove the filter and cooling pad.
- Rinse the filter and cooling pad under running water to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush.
- Allow the filter and cooling pad to air dry completely before reinserting them. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
6.4 Storage
If the unit will not be used for a long period, ensure it is clean and dry before storing. Empty and clean the water tank and filter. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
7. Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer service, please refer to the following table for common issues and their solutions.
