Setup

1. MicroSD Card Insertion

1. Ensure the dash cam is powered off.

2. Main Unit Installation (Front Camera)

1. Clean the area on your front windshield where you intend to mount the dash cam.
2. Attach the adhesive mount to the main unit.
3. Remove the protective film from the adhesive mount.
4. Firmly press the dash cam onto the chosen spot on the windshield, ensuring a clear view of the road. Position it centrally, behind the rearview mirror if possible, to avoid obstructing your view.

3. Rear Camera Installation

1. Clean the area on your rear windshield for the rear camera.
2. Attach the adhesive mount to the rear camera.
3. Remove the protective film and firmly press the rear camera onto the rear windshield, ensuring a clear view.
4. Connect the rear camera to the main unit using the provided rear camera connection cable. Route the cable neatly along the vehicle's headliner and pillars to conceal it.

4. Power Connection (OBD-II)

1. Locate your vehicle's OBD-II port (usually under the dashboard on the driver's side).
2. Connect the OBD-II power cable to the OBD-II port.
3. Connect the other end of the OBD-II power cable to the DC-IN power terminal on the main unit.
4. Route the power cable neatly to avoid interference with driving controls.

5. GPS Antenna Connection (Optional)

1. If using the optional GPS antenna, connect it to the GPS terminal on the main unit.
2. Mount the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or near the windshield.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

• Power On: Once connected to power, the dash cam will automatically power on when the vehicle's ignition is turned on.
• Power Off: The dash cam will automatically power off when the vehicle's ignition is turned off. You can also manually power off using the power switch.

Recording Modes

The IROAD NX7 supports various recording modes:

• Continuous Recording: Automatically starts recording when the device powers on. Footage is saved in short segments and overwritten by new recordings once the MicroSD card is full (loop recording).
• Event Recording (Impact Recording): When an impact is detected by the G-sensor, the dash cam automatically saves the current footage as an event file, preventing it from being overwritten.
• Parking Surveillance (24-hour Recording):
  • Motion Detection: Records automatically when motion is detected around the vehicle while parked.
  • Impact Recording: Records when an impact is detected while parked.
