8. Drainage Methods

Your HUMSURE Dehumidifier offers two convenient ways to remove collected water:

8.1 Manual Drainage (Water Tank)

When the water tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. To empty the tank:

  1. Gently pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
  2. Carefully carry the tank to a sink or drain.
  3. Pour out the collected water.
  4. Slide the empty tank back into the dehumidifier until it clicks into place. The unit will resume operation.

8.2 Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose)

For continuous operation without needing to empty the tank, use the included drain hose:

  1. Locate the continuous drainage outlet on the back or side of the dehumidifier.
  2. Remove the rubber stopper (if present).
  3. Connect one end of the drain hose to the outlet, ensuring a secure fit.
  4. Route the other end of the hose to a suitable drain (e.g., floor drain, large bucket, sink). Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow gravity to drain the water. Do not allow the hose to be kinked or elevated above the unit.
Alternative Drainage Methods

9. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

  1. Unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the air filter, typically behind the intake grille.
  3. Remove the filter.
  4. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris. For heavy dirt, wash the filter with warm, soapy water.
  5. Rinse the filter thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting. Do not expose to direct sunlight or high heat.
  6. Reinsert the dry filter into the unit.

9.2 Cleaning the Unit Exterior

Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents.

If storing the unit for an extended period:

  1. Empty the water tank and ensure it is completely dry.
  2. Clean the air filter.
