Unpacking

Initial Cleaning

  • Before first use, clean the interior and exterior of the freezer with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.

Power Connection

Keyed Door for Security

Maintenance

Cleaning the Interior and Exterior

  • Exterior: Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
  • Interior: For interior cleaning, unplug the freezer. Remove all food items. Clean with a solution of mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before plugging the freezer back in.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or sharp objects for cleaning.

Defrosting

Over time, frost will accumulate inside the freezer. For optimal performance, defrost the freezer when the frost layer reaches about 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) thick.

  1. Unplug the freezer from the power outlet.
  2. Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
  3. Open the lid and place towels on the floor around the freezer to catch melting ice.
  4. Locate the drain plug (if available) at the bottom of the freezer and remove it to allow water to drain.
  5. Allow the frost to melt naturally. You can place bowls of hot water inside to speed up the process, but do not use sharp objects to chip away ice.
  6. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior thoroughly.
  7. Replace the drain plug, plug the freezer back in, and allow it to cool down before returning food.
