6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Making a Call
- To initiate a call, press the Call Button (phone icon).
- The i10D will dial the pre-configured extension or SIP address.
- Once the call is connected, you can communicate with the recipient via the built-in speaker and microphone.
6.2 Receiving a Call
The Fanvil i10D is primarily designed for outgoing calls from the intercom to an internal station. Incoming calls to the i10D are typically not supported for direct voice communication, but it can receive commands for actions like door unlocking.
6.3 Door Unlock Function
- During an active call from the i10D to an indoor station, the recipient can send a DTMF code (e.g., '*') to trigger the door unlock relay.
- Alternatively, the Door Unlock Button (key icon) on the i10D can be configured to directly trigger the relay, allowing local access control. This function is typically used by authorized personnel.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
