Port Descriptions:
- DC 5V: Power input port.
- USB Ports: For connecting USB peripherals such as keyboard, mouse, USB drives, etc.
- HDMI IN-1 (USB-C): Input for connecting the first computer via USB-C, supporting video and data.
- HDMI IN-2: HDMI input for connecting the second computer.
- HDMI IN-3: HDMI input for connecting the third computer.
- HDMI-OUT: Output for connecting to your monitor.
- SELECT Button: Used to switch between connected input sources.
- LED Indicators (1, 2, 3): Indicate the currently active input source.
Setup
Follow these steps to set up your KVM switch:
- Power Off Devices: Ensure all computers and your monitor are powered off before making any connections.
- Connect Monitor: Connect your HDMI monitor to the HDMI-OUT port on the KVM switch using an HDMI cable.
- Connect Computers:
- For Computer 1: Connect its USB-C port to the IN-1 (USB-C) port on the KVM switch.
- For Computer 2: Connect its HDMI output to the HDMI IN-2 port and its USB port to an available USB input port on the KVM switch.
- For Computer 3: Connect its HDMI output to the HDMI IN-3 port and its USB port to an available USB input port on the KVM switch.
- Connect Peripherals: Connect your USB keyboard, mouse, and any other USB peripherals (e.g., USB flash drive, printer) to the remaining USB ports on the KVM switch.
- Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the DC 5V port on the KVM switch and then plug it into a power outlet.
- Power On Devices: Power on your monitor first, then power on the connected computers.
Note: Ensure all cables are securely connected to prevent signal loss or malfunction.
Operating Instructions
The KVM switch allows you to easily switch between connected computers and share peripherals.
Switching Inputs:
- Manual Switching: Press the SELECT button on the front panel of the KVM switch to cycle through the connected input sources (Computer 1, Computer 2, Computer 3). The corresponding LED indicator will light up to show the active input.
- Hot-Key Switching (if supported): Some KVM models support hot-key switching via keyboard commands. Refer to the specific hot-key combinations in the detailed product documentation or manufacturer's website if this feature is desired.
USB Peripheral Sharing:
All USB devices connected to the KVM switch's USB ports will be automatically shared with the currently selected computer.
