4.3 Maximizing Runtime

To achieve optimal runtime and performance:

  • Ensure the battery is fully charged before each use.
  • Avoid operating tools in extreme temperatures, as this can affect battery efficiency.
  • Allow the battery to cool down after heavy use before recharging. The integrated cell-cooling technology helps manage heat during operation.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Periodically clean the battery's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaners. Ensure the battery terminals are free from dirt and debris.

5.2 Storage

For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% capacity. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid storing fully discharged batteries for extended periods, as this can reduce their lifespan.

5.3 Cell Protection

The WA3012 battery features 360-degree cell encasing for protection against impacts and vibration. While robust, avoid unnecessary rough handling to maintain battery integrity.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Battery not charging: Ensure the charger is properly plugged in and the battery is correctly seated. Check for any visible damage to the battery or charger. Try charging a different battery (if available) to isolate the issue to either the battery or the charger.
  • Short runtime: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Extreme temperatures can reduce runtime. If the battery consistently provides significantly less runtime than expected, it may be nearing the end of its lifespan.
  • Battery not fitting in tool: Verify that the tool is compatible with WORX 20V Power Share batteries. Ensure there are no obstructions in the battery port and that the battery is aligned correctly before insertion.

If issues persist, contact WORX customer support.
