4. Setup and Before First Use
Unpacking:
- Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the coffee maker.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
Initial Cleaning Cycle:
Before brewing coffee for the first time, it is recommended to run a cleaning cycle with water only.
- Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the maximum fill line.
- Place the empty reusable filter into the filter basket, and ensure the glass carafe is in place on the keep warm plate.
- Close the lid.
- Plug the coffee maker into a 127V electrical outlet.

- Discard the water from the carafe and rinse the carafe and filter.
5. Operating Instructions
Brewing Coffee:
- Ensure the coffee maker is unplugged and cool.
- Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. Use the water level indicator on the side of the coffee maker as a guide for the desired number of cups. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
- Place the reusable permanent filter into the filter basket.
- Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup (40ml), but adjust to your taste.
- Close the lid securely.
- Place the empty glass carafe onto the keep warm plate, ensuring it is properly seated.
- Plug the coffee maker into a 127V electrical outlet.
- Press the power switch to turn on the coffee maker. The indicator light will illuminate.
- The brewing process will begin. Water will heat up and drip through the coffee grounds into the carafe.
- Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the keep warm function. The keep warm plate will maintain the coffee at an ideal temperature.
- To serve, carefully remove the carafe from the keep warm plate. The anti-drip feature will temporarily stop the flow of coffee.
- After serving, return the carafe to the keep warm plate to keep the remaining coffee warm.
- When you are finished, press the power switch to turn off the coffee maker and unplug it from the outlet.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.
Daily Cleaning:
- Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the glass carafe and the reusable permanent filter.
- Discard used coffee grounds from the filter.
- Wash the glass carafe and the reusable permanent filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are not dishwasher safe.

Descaling (Every 2-4 Weeks, depending on water hardness):
Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee maker and affect its performance. Descaling helps remove these deposits.
- Mix 2-4 tablespoons of white vinegar with water to fill the reservoir to the MAX line.
- Place the empty reusable filter in the filter basket and the empty carafe on the keep warm plate.
- Turn on the coffee maker and let it brew the vinegar solution through the cycle.
- After the cycle, turn off the coffee maker, discard the solution, and rinse the carafe and filter.
- Run 2-3 cycles with clean water only to flush out any remaining vinegar taste.
