Setup
1. Assembling the Wand and Attaching Tools
The two-piece wand is shipped disassembled. To assemble, untwist the cuff from one end of the wand and slide it onto the other wand half. Insert the wand end by aligning the notch on the inside of the wand nut with the groove on the outside of the wand. Slide down the cuff and twist the wand nut to tighten it into position. To adjust the wand height, loosen the cuff, adjust to the desired length, and then tighten the cuff to lock it in place.
When attaching a floor tool or brush, ensure the brass ring is intact with the threaded nut on the end of the wand. Align the brass ring with the groove on the tool to ensure a secure fit. Loosen the nut slightly, push the tool into the wand, and with downward pressure on the tool, tighten the nut. The tool should stay in the wand but be able to spin freely.
2. Connecting the Power Cord
Connect the power supply cord to the extension cord. Thread the extension cord up through the loop system on the cord holder located on the waistbelt. This minimizes wear on the cord and allows for safe operation. Ensure the connection is secure before plugging into a power outlet.
Operating
1. Wearing and Adjusting the Harness
Prior to operation, ensure the backpack vacuum is properly fitted to the operator. ProTeam backpack vacuums feature adjustable upper and lower back plates for proper fitting based on torso length. Adjust the back plates to ensure contact points are made at the base of your spine (just above the hips) and between your shoulder blades in the upper back area.
Loosen the shoulder straps and waistbelt. Lift the vacuum by one shoulder strap and slide your free arm into the opposite shoulder strap. Fasten and tighten the waistbelt, ensuring the vacuum's back plate rests upon your hips rather than your shoulders for maximum ergonomic comfort. Adjust the shoulder straps so the unit fits comfortably, taking care not to overtighten. Finally, fasten and adjust the sternum strap for added stability. A correctly fitted harness will show a space between the shoulder strap and your shoulders.

2. Powering On/Off
Once the unit is properly fitted and the extension cord is connected to a power outlet, locate the on-off switch on the waistbelt. Flip the switch to the 'On' position to begin vacuuming. To turn off the unit, flip the switch to the 'Off' position.

3. Blower Functionality
The MegaVac can be quickly converted into a high-powered blower without additional tools. This feature is ideal for clearing debris from outdoor areas such as parking lots, driveways, and walkways.

Maintenance
1. Filter Maintenance
The ProTeam MegaVac features a Four Level Advanced Filtration system. Regular filter maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and improved Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
- Micro Intercept (Disposable Paper) Filter: Replace after 2-3 times of emptying.
- Micro Cloth Filter (Cloth Bag): Wash once a month and air-dry completely before reinserting.
- Dome Filter: Wash once a week and air-dry completely before reinserting. This filter is located under the cloth and paper filters.
- Exhaust Filters: Check every 2 weeks and replace when discolored.
Over time, filter pores will clog, restricting airflow and potentially causing the vacuum to shut down to prevent overheating. The frequency of maintenance depends on the environment and type of debris being vacuumed.

2. Cord Holder Usage
Always use the cord holder when vacuuming. This prevents the cord from falling off and avoids damage from being tied or knotted.
Troubleshooting
1. Reduced Suction or Suspected Clog
If you experience reduced suction or suspect a clog, follow these steps:
- Check the condition of your filters. A clogged filter is the most common reason for reduced performance. Clean or replace as needed.
- Inspect the hose for holes or clogs. Clean or replace if necessary.
- Disconnect the wand and floor tool and check them for any blockages.
The vacuum is equipped with a safety feature that automatically turns off the motor to prevent overheating and damage when there is a reduction in airflow, typically caused by clogs or dirty/full filters.
2. Tools Not Connecting to the Wand
If tools do not tighten onto the wand, check if the brass ring is missing from the threaded nut on the end of the wand. If missing, the tool will not secure properly. Ensure the brass ring is intact and align it with the groove on the floor tool for a secure fit.
3. Excessive Heat or Electrical Issues
If you feel excessive heat or suspect electrical issues during operation, immediately stop using the vacuum. Take the unit to a ProTeam service center for inspection to ensure there are no safety concerns. Do not use any vacuum with damaged or broken cords.
