3. Setup Guide

The Auertech Portable Washing Machine requires no complex installation. Follow these steps for initial setup.

3.1 Unpacking

  • Carefully remove the washing machine from its packaging.
  • Check for any visible damage during transit. If damage is found, do not operate the machine and contact customer support.
  • Ensure all included components are present: the washing machine unit, drain hose, and draining basket.

3.2 Placement

  • Choose a flat, stable, and dry surface for the washing machine. Uneven surfaces can cause excessive vibration and noise.

3.3 Connecting Water and Drain Hoses

  • Water Inlet: Connect the water supply hose (not included, typically a standard garden hose or faucet adapter) to one of the dual water inlets on the top panel of the machine. Ensure a secure connection to prevent leaks.
  • Drain Hose: Attach the provided drain hose to the drain outlet on the side of the machine. Position the other end of the drain hose into a sink, bathtub, or other suitable drainage area. 1. Load Clothes: Open the lid of the washing tub (left side) and place your clothes inside. Do not exceed the 18 lbs capacity.
  2. Add Water: Connect the water supply hose to one of the water inlets and fill the washing tub with the desired amount of water. You can also manually add water using a bucket.
  3. Add Detergent: Add your preferred laundry detergent directly into the washing tub.
  4. Set Wash Mode: Turn the middle knob (Wash/Drain Selector) to the desired wash mode (e.g., Standard, Gentle, or Strong, depending on the model's specific settings, or simply 'Wash').
  5. Set Wash Time: Turn the left knob (Wash Timer) to set the washing duration, up to 15 minutes. The machine will start washing automatically.
  6. Drain Water: Once the wash cycle is complete, turn the middle knob (Wash/Drain Selector) to 'Drain' to empty the water from the washing tub. Ensure the drain hose is properly positioned.

4.2 Spinning Clothes

  1. Transfer Clothes: After draining the wash water, transfer the washed clothes from the washing tub to the spin tub (right side). Ensure clothes are evenly distributed to prevent imbalance during spinning. You may use the included draining basket for delicate items or to help contain clothes in the spin tub.
  2. Secure Lid: Close the lid of the spin tub securely.
  3. Set Spin Time: Turn the right knob (Spin Timer) to set the spinning duration, up to 5 minutes. The machine will begin spinning.
  4. Remove Clothes: Once the spin cycle is complete, open the lid and carefully remove your spun clothes.

For rinsing, you can either run a short wash cycle with clean water after the initial wash and drain, or rinse clothes manually before spinning.

5. Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your washing machine.

5.1 Cleaning the Lint Filter

The lint filter, located inside the washing tub, collects lint and debris during the wash cycle. It should be cleaned regularly, ideally after every few washes, to maintain washing efficiency.

  • Locate the lint filter inside the washing tub.
  • Carefully remove the filter.
  • Remove any accumulated lint and debris. You can rinse it under running water.
  • Reinsert the clean lint filter back into its position.

5.2 General Cleaning and Storage

  • After each use, ensure all water is drained from both tubs. You may need to tilt the machine slightly to drain any residual water that might collect at the bottom.
  • Wipe down the interior and exterior surfaces of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used.
  • Keep the lids open for a short period after use to allow the tubs to air dry and prevent mildew or odors.
  • Store the machine in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
