Setup
1. Unpacking and Initial Cleaning
- Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the machine.
- Clean the water tank, capsule holder, and drip tray with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
2. First Use (Rinsing)
- Fill the water tank with fresh drinking water and place it back on the machine.
- Plug the machine into a grounded power outlet. The power button will flash red.
- Press the power button. It will flash red and then turn solid green when ready.
- Place an empty cup under the dispenser.
- Without inserting a capsule, move the control lever to the hot water position (red). Let water flow until the tank is almost empty.
- Repeat the process with cold water (blue lever position).
- Your machine is now rinsed and ready for use.
Operating Instructions
Making a Beverage
- Ensure the water tank is filled with fresh water.
- Turn on the machine by pressing the power button. Wait for the light to turn solid green.
- Adjust the drip tray height according to your cup size.
- Open the locking handle and pull out the capsule holder.
- Insert a NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto capsule into the holder. Close the capsule holder and lock the handle.
- Refer to the recommended water level indicated on the capsule packaging. Use the LED interface to select the corresponding water volume.
- Place your cup under the dispenser.
- Move the control lever to the hot (red) or cold (blue) position, depending on your beverage. The machine will start dispensing.
- The machine will automatically stop when the selected volume is reached. You can manually stop the flow at any time by returning the lever to the center position.
- Once dispensing is complete, wait a few seconds, then open the locking handle and remove the used capsule. Dispose of the capsule responsibly.
Tip: For optimal taste, always use fresh, cold water. The machine will automatically shut off after 5 minutes of inactivity to save energy.
Maintenance
Daily Cleaning
- After each use, remove and empty the drip tray. Clean it with warm, soapy water and rinse.
- Clean the capsule holder after each use to remove any coffee residue.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Empty and rinse the water tank daily.
Descaling
Descaling is essential to maintain your machine's performance and extend its lifespan. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. It is recommended to descale every 3-4 months or when you notice reduced flow or temperature.
- Use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines. Follow the instructions on the descaling product.
- Empty the water tank and fill it with the descaling solution mixed with water as per the product instructions.
- Place a large container (at least 1 liter) under the dispenser.
- Start the descaling process by running the entire tank of solution through the machine (without a capsule), alternating between hot and cold water if instructed by the descaler.
- After the solution has run through, rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
- Run two full tanks of fresh water through the machine to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
Troubleshooting
