The package typically includes:

Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your system is powered off and unplugged. Refer to your motherboard manual for specific header locations.

1. Prepare the CPU Socket

Identify the correct mounting bracket for your CPU socket (Intel LGA 115X/1200/20XX or AMD TR4/AM4/AM3+/AM3). Install the appropriate backplate (if required) and standoffs onto your motherboard.

2. Apply Thermal Paste

Clean the CPU surface thoroughly. Apply a small amount of thermal paste (included) to the center of the CPU's Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS). A pea-sized dot is usually sufficient.

3. Mount the Pump/Cold Plate

Carefully align the pump/cold plate with the CPU and the installed standoffs. Secure it using the provided thumb screws or mounting hardware. Tighten screws in a diagonal pattern until snug, but do not overtighten.

4. Install Radiator and Fans

Attach the 120mm PWM ARGB fans to the radiator using the long screws provided. Ensure the fans are oriented to push or pull air in the desired direction (typically pushing air through the radiator and out of the case). Mount the radiator assembly to an available fan mount location in your PC case (e.g., top, front, or rear).

5. Connect Cables

Connect the pump's 3-pin power cable to a dedicated AIO_PUMP or CPU_OPT header on your motherboard. If neither is available, use a SYS_FAN header. Connect the fan PWM cables to CPU_FAN or SYS_FAN headers. For ARGB lighting, connect the 3-pin 5V ARGB cables from the pump and fans to your motherboard's Addressable RGB header or to the included ARGB controller.

Operating Instructions

RGB Lighting Control

The aigo AT240 features Addressable RGB (ARGB) lighting on both the fans and the pump head. This lighting can be controlled in two primary ways:

  1. Motherboard SYNC: If your motherboard has a 3-pin 5V ARGB header, connect the cooler's ARGB cables to it. You can then control the lighting effects and colors using your motherboard's dedicated RGB software (e.g., GIGABYTE RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync, ASUS Aura Sync). This allows for synchronized lighting across compatible components.
  2. ARGB Controller: If your motherboard does not support ARGB sync, or if you prefer standalone control, use the included ARGB controller. Connect the cooler's ARGB cables to this controller. The controller typically has buttons to cycle through various lighting modes, colors, and effects. Refer to the controller's specific instructions for detailed operation.

Fan Speed Control

The PWM fans automatically adjust their speed based on CPU temperature, providing optimal cooling performance while minimizing noise. You can monitor and, in some cases, manually adjust fan curves through your motherboard's BIOS/UEFI settings or dedicated software.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your aigo AT240 liquid cooler.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
High CPU Temperatures
  • Improper thermal paste application
  • Pump not running
  • Fans not spinning or incorrectly oriented
  • Radiator clogged with dust
  • Re-apply thermal paste carefully.
  • Check pump power connection (3-pin to AIO_PUMP/CPU_OPT).
  • Verify fan connections and orientation. Clean radiator.
  • Clean radiator fins and fan blades.
Fans or Pump Making Noise
  • Air bubbles in the loop (new installation)
  • Fan bearing issue
  • Pump cavitation
  • Orient radiator with tubes at the bottom if possible. Run system for a while to allow air to settle.
  • Inspect fans for physical obstruction. If noise persists, consider fan replacement.
  • Ensure pump is receiving adequate power.
RGB Lighting Not Working/Syncing
  • Incorrect ARGB connection
  • Motherboard software issue
  • Faulty ARGB component
  • Verify 3-pin 5V ARGB connection to motherboard or controller. Ensure it's not a 4-pin 12V RGB header.
  • Update motherboard BIOS/UEFI and RGB software.
  • Test components individually if possible.
