6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Greenworks Shear Shrubber.

6.1 Cleaning

  • After Each Use: Remove the battery pack. Use a stiff brush or cloth to remove debris, sap, and grass clippings from the blades and tool housing.
  • Blades: Clean the blades thoroughly. For stubborn sap, use a mild solvent or blade cleaner.
  • Ventilation Openings: Keep the ventilation openings free of obstructions to prevent overheating.

6.2 Blade Care

  • Lubrication: Apply a light machine oil or blade lubricant to the blades before and after each use to reduce friction and prevent rust.

  • Storage: Always store the blades with their protective covers when not in use to prevent injury and damage.

6.3 Storage

  • Store the tool in a dry, well-ventilated area, out of reach of children.
  • Remove the battery pack from the tool before storing for extended periods.
