4. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Clean: Wash all removable parts (steam bowls, baskets, lids, blending blades, spatula) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The removable parts are dishwasher safe.
  3. Assemble: Place the motor unit on a stable surface. Insert the blending blades into the bottom of the steam bowls, ensuring they are securely seated.
  4. Initial Cleaning Cycle: Before first use, perform a cleaning cycle. Fill the water reservoir with clean water (refer to the water level markings for guidance). Place empty steam baskets into the bowls, close the lids, and run a steam cycle for approximately 15 minutes. Discard the water and allow the unit to cool.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Steaming Food

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Wash, peel, and chop fruits, vegetables, meat, or fish into small, uniform pieces (approximately 1/2 inch cubes).
  2. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the water reservoir cap and fill with distilled or filtered water up to the desired level indicated for the cooking time.
  3. Load Food: Place the chopped ingredients into the steam baskets. Do not overfill. Insert the baskets into the steam bowls.
  4. Close Lids: Securely close the lids on both steam bowls.
  5. Start Steaming: Turn the control dial to the steam icon (usually to the right). The appliance will begin steaming. The auto shut-off timer will activate, and the unit will beep three times when steaming is complete.
  6. Remove Food: Carefully open the lids (steam will escape) and use the spatula to lift out the hot steam baskets.

5.2. Blending Food

  1. Transfer Food: After steaming, transfer the cooked ingredients from the steam basket directly into the steam bowl, ensuring the blending blade is in place.
  2. Add Liquid: Add a small amount of the reserved cooking liquid from the steam bowl, breast milk, formula, or water to achieve the desired consistency. Start with less liquid and add more gradually.
  3. Blend: Secure the lid. Turn the control dial to the blend icon (usually to the left) and hold it for short pulses. Do not hold continuously for more than 10 seconds to avoid overheating. Repeat pulsing until the desired texture is reached (from smooth puree to chunkier textures for older babies).
