Setup

1. Initial Activation

Your watch may arrive with a plastic tab in the crown/button to preserve battery life. Remove this tab to activate the watch. The display should illuminate.

2. Setting Time and Date

The watch features two side buttons for operation. Refer to the 'Operating' section for detailed button functions to set the time, seconds, date, month, year, and military time.

3. Bracelet Adjustment

The gold-tone link bracelet features an adjustable sliding buckle closure. To adjust the bracelet length, carefully lift the clasp lever and slide the clasp along the bracelet to the desired position. Press the lever down firmly to secure the clasp. Ensure the watch fits comfortably and securely on your wrist.

Operating Instructions

Your Armitron Digital Chronograph Watch features a simple two-button interface for accessing its various functions.

Button Functions:

• Top Right Button: Activates the LED display to show the time. Pressing it repeatedly or holding it may cycle through different display modes (e.g., time, date, seconds).
• Bottom Right Button: Used to cycle through display modes and adjust settings. When the display is active, press this button to switch between time, date, seconds, and military time displays. When in setting mode, this button is used to advance values.

Setting Mode:

1. To enter setting mode, typically you will press and hold one of the buttons (often the bottom right) until a digit begins to flash.
2. Use the other button (often the top right) to adjust the flashing digit's value.
3. Press the button used to enter setting mode again to move to the next setting (e.g., hours to minutes, minutes to seconds, month to date, etc.).
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all desired settings are adjusted.
5. Exit setting mode by not pressing any button for a few seconds, or by cycling through all settings until the display returns to normal timekeeping.

Chronograph Function:

This watch includes a chronograph (stopwatch) function. To access and operate the chronograph, follow the specific instructions provided with your watch's full manual, as button sequences can vary. Generally, one button will start/stop the timer, and another will reset it.

Maintenance

Cleaning Your Watch

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Water Resistance

Your Armitron watch is water resistant to 165 feet (50 meters). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not for diving or snorkeling. Avoid pressing buttons while the watch is submerged in water.

Battery Replacement

Troubleshooting

• Display is blank: Check if the plastic battery tab has been removed. If so, the battery may be depleted and require replacement.
• Incorrect time/date: Re-enter the setting mode and adjust the time and date as per the 'Operating Instructions' section.
• Buttons unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable) or that it is not submerged in water. If issues persist, a battery replacement may be necessary.
