1. Safety Information
Read all instructions carefully before using the XDeer S004 Biometric Pistol Safe. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury, damage to the safe, or unauthorized access. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
- Always store firearms unloaded in the safe.
- Keep the safe locked at all times when not in use.
- Do not store emergency keys inside the safe. Keep them in a secure, separate location.
- Ensure the safe is securely mounted or tethered to prevent unauthorized removal.
- Keep children away from the safe and ensure they do not have access to keys or codes.
- This safe is designed to deter theft and unauthorized access but is not fireproof or waterproof.

3. Setup
3.1 Initial Power-Up
The safe can be powered by 4 AAA alkaline batteries (not included) or the included power adapter.
- Open the safe using one of the emergency keys. The keyhole is located on the side of the safe.
- Locate the battery compartment inside the safe. Insert 4 AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Alternatively, connect the power adapter to the safe's power input port and plug it into a wall outlet.

3.2 Mounting the Safe
The safe can be secured using the included security cable or mounting hardware.
- Using the Security Cable: Loop the security cable around a stationary object (e.g., bed frame, car seat anchor) and secure it to the safe's cable port.
- Using Mounting Hardware: Use the provided screws and anchors to secure the safe to a flat surface, such as a wall or floor.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Programming a New PIN Code
- With the safe open, locate the "PROGRAM" button inside the safe.
- Press and hold the "PROGRAM" button until the backlit keypad flashes blue light once and you hear one beep. Release the button.
- Input a new 3-8 digit code using the keypad buttons (1-4).
- Press the "PROGRAM" button again (just a single press).
- If successful, the backlit keypad will flash blue light twice and you will hear two beeps.

4.2 Programming a New Fingerprint
- With the safe open, locate the "PROGRAM" button inside the safe.
- Press and hold the "PROGRAM" button until the backlit keypad flashes blue light once and you hear one beep. Release the button.
- Swipe your finger across the fingerprint scanner four times. Ensure consistent placement for each swipe.
- If successful, the backlit keypad will flash blue light twice and you will hear two beeps.
- It is recommended to program the same finger multiple times for improved recognition.

4.3 Opening the Safe
- Using Fingerprint: Place a programmed finger on the fingerprint scanner. The safe will open within 0.5 seconds if recognized.
- Using PIN Code: Enter your programmed 3-8 digit PIN code on the backlit keypad.
- Using Emergency Key: Insert and turn one of the emergency keys in the keyhole on the side of the safe.

4.4 Silent Mode and LED Light
- The safe features a silent mode to operate without disturbing others. Refer to the full manual for activation/deactivation instructions.
- An internal LED light illuminates the safe's interior when opened, providing clear visibility.
5. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears or if the safe does not respond promptly. Use 4 new AAA alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the fingerprint scanner clean and dry.
- Keypad Care: Avoid pressing the keypad buttons with excessive force.
6. Troubleshooting
