4. Setup: Battery Installation

The remote control requires two (2) AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install the batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards or press the latch and lift to open the compartment.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

5. Operating Instructions

Point the remote control directly at the air conditioner's receiver. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit. The remote control features various buttons for different functions:

  • + / - (Temperature Adjustment): Increases or decreases the set temperature.
  • Sleep: Activates the sleep mode, which adjusts temperature for comfortable sleep and energy saving.
  • Timer: Sets a timer for the air conditioner to turn on or off automatically.
  • LED: Controls the display light on the air conditioner unit.
  • Follow Me: Activates a function where the remote control acts as a temperature sensor, allowing the air conditioner to adjust temperature based on the remote's location.
  • Short Cut: Recalls your preferred operating settings with a single press.
  • Self Clean: Initiates a self-cleaning cycle for the indoor unit.
  • Turbo: Activates maximum cooling or heating capacity for rapid temperature change.

6. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's range decreases or the display becomes dim. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new AAA batteries.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the remote control in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
