2. Product Overview

The HOTO Smart Food Scale features a sleek design with a high-precision sensor and intuitive controls for accurate measurements in your kitchen.

High-Precision Sensor: Equipped with a sensor capable of 0.1g graduations, measuring from 1g up to 3000g.

Integrated Design: Features a high-resolution LED screen under clear tempered glass for easy readability and a seamless, easy-to-clean surface.

All-in-One Button: A single knob/button combines multiple functions for user-friendly operation.

3. Setup

Battery Installation:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the underside of the scale.
2. Rotate the cover counter-clockwise to unlock and remove it.
3. Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and rotate clockwise to lock it securely.

4. Operating Instructions

Power On/Off:

• To power on: Press the knob once. The display will show '0.0 g' after a brief startup sequence.
• To power off: Press and hold the knob for approximately 3 seconds.

Changing Measurement Units:

• Rotate the knob to cycle through the available units: grams (g), milliliters (ml), ounces (oz), and pounds:ounces (lb:oz).

Tare Function (Zeroing the Scale):

• Place an empty container on the scale.
• Press the knob once briefly. The display will reset to '0.0', allowing you to measure ingredients accurately without including the container's weight.

App Connectivity (Mi Jia App):

• Download the Mi Jia App from your mobile app store.
• Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
• Open the Mi Jia App and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your HOTO Smart Food Scale.
• The app allows for real-time data synchronization, recording, and specialized functions like a hand drip assistant for coffee brewing.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning:

• Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
• The integrated seamless surface is made of food-contact materials, making it easy to clean.

Storage:

• Store the scale in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Remove batteries if the scale will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

Common Issues and Solutions:

• Scale not turning on: Ensure 3 AAA batteries are correctly installed with proper polarity. Replace batteries if depleted.
• Inaccurate readings: Place the scale on a flat, stable surface. Ensure no objects are touching the scale platform. Recalibrate by turning off and on, then performing the tare function.
• App connectivity issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the scale is within range. Restart both the app and the scale if necessary.
• Display flashing: This may indicate low battery. Replace batteries.
