1. Location and Mounting

Choose a mounting location that allows for adequate ventilation and is free from flammable materials. The unit should be bolted down securely using the integrated mounting tabs on the base.

2. Electrical Connections

Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent fire hazards. Connect the 120VAC power source to the converter's AC input. For DC output, connect your RV's 12VDC system to the converter's positive (POS+) and negative (NEG-) terminals. Ensure proper grounding (FG terminal).

3. Battery Type Selection (Voltage Adjustment)

Operating

Once properly installed and connected, the RecPro RV Converter operates automatically. It features a 4-stage smart charging mode to optimize battery charging and longevity:

• Stage 1: Fast Charge (Boost) - Rapidly charges a drained battery up to full capacity.
• Stage 2: Standard Charge (Normal) - Continues charging at a steady rate to prolong battery life.
• Stage 3: Trickle Charge (Float) - Maintains battery at full charge without overcharging.
• Stage 4: Equalization Charge (Desulfation) - Periodically applies a higher voltage to break down sulfate crystals and restore battery capacity (only for compatible battery types).

The LED indicator light on the unit provides status feedback on the charging process and unit operation.

Maintenance
