1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

  1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the handset.
  2. Insert the two AAA rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Replace the battery cover.

2.2 Connecting the Base Unit

  1. Connect the AC power adaptor to the base unit and plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
  2. Connect the telephone line cord to the base unit and plug the other end into your telephone wall jack.

2.3 Initial Battery Charge

Place the handset on the base unit. The charge indicator on the handset display will show that it is charging. For optimal battery performance, charge the handset for at least 7 hours before its first use.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Call Functions

  • Making a Call: Press the Talk button (green receiver icon), then dial the phone number. Alternatively, dial the number first, then press Talk.
  • Answering a Call: When the phone rings, press the Talk button.
  • Ending a Call: Press the End button (red receiver icon) or place the handset back on the base unit.
  • Adjusting Volume: During a call, use the Up or Down arrow buttons to adjust the earpiece volume.

3.2 Nuisance Call Block

The KX-TGB610 features an easy nuisance call block function. To block an unwanted number:

  1. During or after a call from an unwanted number, press the Call Block button (usually marked with a specific icon or accessible via menu).
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm blocking the number.

3.3 Phonebook

Store frequently called numbers in the phonebook for quick dialing.

  • Adding an Entry: Access the menu, navigate to 'Phonebook', select 'Add New Entry', enter the name and number, then save.
  • Dialing from Phonebook: Press the Phonebook button, use the arrow keys to select the desired entry, then press Talk.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Wipe the handset and base unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the phone is disconnected from power before cleaning.

4.2 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid exposing the handset to extreme temperatures. If the phone will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.

If you experience issues with your phone, refer to the following common solutions:
