1. Product Overview

2. Setup Instructions

2.1 Attaching the Quick Release Plate to Your Camera

1. Locate the 1/4" screw on the top cap of the F38 Quick Release Plate.
2. Align the screw with the tripod mounting hole on the bottom of your camera (e.g., DSLR, mirrorless camera, phone mount, GoPro adapter).
3. Tighten the screw securely. Ensure the plate is firmly attached to prevent rotation. A Torx wrench may be included for tightening.

2.2 Attaching the Base Mount to Your Support System

1. Identify the 1/4" or 3/8" screw thread on the F38 Base Mount.
2. Attach the base mount to your desired support system (e.g., tripod, monopod, stabilizer, gimbal, video monitor).
3. Ensure the base mount is securely fastened to the support system.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Installing the Quick Release Plate onto the Base Mount

1. Ensure the safe lock mechanism on the base mount is in the "Press Mode" (unlocked position).
2. Align the quick release plate (attached to your camera) with the base mount.
3. Push the quick release plate into the base mount until it clicks into place.
4. To secure, switch the safe lock to "Deadlock Mode" if desired, preventing accidental release.

3.2 Removing the Quick Release Plate from the Base Mount

1. If the safe lock is in "Deadlock Mode", switch it to "Press Mode".
2. Press the release button on the side of the base mount.
3. Slide the quick release plate out of the base mount.

5. Safety and Maintenance

5.1 Safety Precautions

• Always ensure the quick release plate is fully engaged and the safe lock is activated before leaving your equipment unattended.
• Do not exceed the maximum weight recommendation of 15kg (33.1lb) to prevent damage to the product or attached equipment.
• Avoid applying excessive force during installation or removal, as this may damage the mechanism.
• Keep the product away from water and extreme temperatures. It is not water-resistant.

• Issue: Quick release plate feels loose or wobbly after installation.

  Solution: Ensure the quick release plate is fully inserted into the base mount until it clicks. Verify that the safe lock is engaged. Check the tightness of the 1/4" screw attaching the plate to your camera and the base mount to your support system. Use a Torx wrench if provided to ensure secure fastening.

• Issue: Cannot remove the quick release plate.

  Solution: Ensure the safe lock is in "Press Mode" (unlocked). Press the release button firmly while sliding the plate out. If the mechanism feels stiff, check for any obstructions or debris.

• Issue: Screw attaching the plate to the camera loosens frequently.

  Solution: Ensure the screw is tightened sufficiently using a screwdriver or the provided Torx wrench. For heavy setups or frequent adjustments, periodically check and re-tighten the screw. Consider using a small amount of thread locker (non-permanent) if loosening persists, though this is generally not required for standard use.
