Instruction Manual
Model: WGIPU0031
Product Overview
The Wildgame Innovations Evolution Feeder 6V Analog Power Control Unit is designed to upgrade or build a varmint-proof hunting feeder. This programmable control unit allows for precise management of feed times and duration, ensuring efficient attraction and patterning of deer and other game while preventing access by rodents.
Key features include a durable, 100% varmint-proof design with a spinner plate recessed underneath a heavy-duty mounting bracket. Its spring-loaded mechanism automatically reseals to the barrel after spinning, and the arm design utilizes centrifugal force for feed dispersal. The unit offers 24 available feed times with durations from 1 to 20 seconds, providing a 360-degree distribution range of up to 30 feet. Constructed from powder-coated, galvanized steel, it ensures long-term durability in various hunting environments.

Setup Instructions
1. Battery Installation
The feeder unit operates on a 6V battery (not included). Open the battery compartment on the Power Control Unit. Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the 6V battery to the corresponding connectors inside the unit. Ensure a secure connection.
2. Mounting the Unit

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regularly inspect and clean the spinner plate and the interior of the Power Control Unit to prevent build-up of feed, dust, or debris. A clean unit ensures optimal performance and prevents blockages.
2. Battery Care
Check the 6V battery periodically. Replace it when the power level is low to ensure continuous operation. For prolonged periods of non-use, it is recommended to remove the battery to prevent discharge or damage.
3. Varmint Guard Inspection
Periodically inspect the varmint-proof spinner plate and mounting bracket for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the spring-loaded design is functioning correctly to reseal the barrel after feeding, preventing varmint access.
Troubleshooting
Feeder Not Dispensing Feed
- Check Battery: Ensure the 6V battery is fully charged and properly connected. A low battery can prevent the motor from operating.
- Inspect for Obstructions: Verify that the feed funnel and spinner plate are free from clogs or foreign objects.
- Timer Settings: Double-check that the feed times and duration are correctly programmed on the timer unit.
- Motor Connection: Ensure all wires connecting the timer to the motor are secure and free from damage.
Timer Display Issues
- Battery Level: A dim or flickering display often indicates a low battery. Replace or recharge the 6V battery.
- Reset Timer: If the display is unresponsive or showing incorrect information, try resetting the timer unit (refer to the timer's specific reset procedure, usually a small reset button).
- Environmental Factors: Extreme temperatures can sometimes affect LCD displays. Allow the unit to return to moderate temperatures.
Inconsistent Feed Distribution
- Feed Type: Ensure the feed used is suitable for the feeder and not clumping.
- Spinner Plate Condition: Check the spinner plate for damage or wear that might affect its rotation and dispersal pattern.
- Mounting Stability: Verify the feeder unit is securely mounted and not vibrating excessively, which could impact feed spread.
