Important Safety Information
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, observe the following:
- Install this range hood in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
- Ensure the electrical supply matches the requirements specified on the rating label.
- Always disconnect power before servicing or cleaning the unit.
- Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
- Do not use this unit with any solid-state speed control device.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Clean grease filters frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
- Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.
- Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when flaming food.
- Use appropriate size cookware on each surface burner.
- In the event of a grease fire, smother flames with a close-fitting lid, cookie sheet, or metal tray, then turn off the burner. NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN.
- Do not use water on grease fires.

Installation Guidelines
The HisoHu range hood is designed for wall-mount installation and can be configured for ducted or ductless operation (carbon filter kit required for ductless, sold separately). Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety.
- Ducting: This unit exhausts air vertically upwards. If replacing a microwave hood that vented horizontally, new ductwork may be required. Ensure duct runs are as straight and short as possible. Each 90-degree turn significantly reduces airflow efficiency.
- Mounting: Securely mount the hood to wall studs. If ductwork interferes with stud placement, reinforce the wall with plywood or suitable blocking behind the hood mounting area.
- Chimney Adjustment: The chimney is adjustable from 15.75 inches to 31.29 inches to accommodate various ceiling heights.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the hood to a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions
The HisoHu range hood offers multiple control options for convenience.
Control Panel
The unit features a touch control switch panel located on the front. Buttons typically include power, fan speed adjustment, light control, and timer settings.
Gesture Sensing
For hands-free operation, the range hood is equipped with gesture sensing technology. Wave your hand across the two sensing points to turn the unit on/off and adjust fan speed. This feature helps maintain cleanliness by reducing direct contact with the control panel.

Remote Control
An infrared remote control is included for convenient operation from a distance.
Fan Speed Settings
Select from 4 different fan speeds to match your cooking needs. The maximum airflow is 780 CFM, effectively removing cooking fumes and odors.

LED Lighting
The two energy-saving LED lights provide ample illumination for your cooking area. They are dimmable, allowing you to adjust brightness as desired.

Delay Shutdown Timer
Utilize the 1-15 minute delay shutdown function to automatically clear residual fumes after cooking.
Maintenance
Cleaning Grease Filters
The range hood is equipped with two 5-layer aluminum mesh filters designed to capture grease. For optimal performance, clean these filters regularly.
- Removal: Carefully unlatch and remove the filters from the hood.
- Cleaning: The filters are dishwasher-safe. Place them in your dishwasher for thorough cleaning. Alternatively, wash them by hand with warm, soapy water.
- Reinstallation: Ensure filters are completely dry before reinserting them into the hood.

Exterior Cleaning
Wipe the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive pads that could scratch the surface.
