Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the oil tank, frying basket, and lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the heating element and control unit with a damp cloth. Ensure no water enters the electrical components.
  3. Assembly: Place the main unit on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface. Insert the clean, dry oil tank into the main unit. Ensure it is seated correctly. Place the heating element and control unit assembly onto the oil tank, ensuring the heating coils are fully submerged within the tank when oil is added.
  4. Placement: Position the fryer away from walls, cabinets, and other appliances to allow for proper ventilation and to prevent heat damage. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit.
  5. Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is fully inserted into the unit and then plug it into a grounded 110V AC electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Add Oil: Pour cooking oil into the oil tank. Ensure the oil level is between the MIN and MAX fill lines indicated inside the tank. Do not overfill or underfill. The fryer has a 6-liter capacity.
  2. Preheat: Plug the fryer into a suitable electrical outlet. The green "POWER LIGHT" will illuminate. Turn the "TEMPERATURE SELECTION" dial to your desired frying temperature. The red "HOT LIGHT" will illuminate, indicating the heating element is active.
  3. Temperature Control: The red "HOT LIGHT" will turn off once the set temperature is reached and will cycle on and off during operation to maintain the temperature.
  4. Frying: Carefully place food into the frying basket. Do not overload the basket, as this can cause the oil temperature to drop significantly and result in soggy food. Slowly lower the basket into the hot oil.
  5. Drain: Once food is cooked, carefully lift the basket and hook it onto the basket hanger bar above the oil tank to allow excess oil to drain back into the tank.
  6. Serve and Unplug: Remove food from the basket and serve. When finished frying, turn the temperature dial to the lowest setting or "OFF" if available, and unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Allow the oil and unit to cool completely before cleaning or storing.

Recommended Frying Temperatures

The control panel includes a guide for common frying temperatures. Note that the dial is marked in Celsius, but Fahrenheit equivalents are provided for convenience.

Food ItemTemperature (°C)Temperature (°F)
French Fries143°C280°F
Chicken Wings179°C350°F
Chicken Legs179°C350°F
Fish179°C350°F
Steak179°C350°F

Note: These are general recommendations. Actual cooking times and temperatures may vary based on food quantity, thickness, and desired crispness. It is advisable to use an external thermometer for precise temperature monitoring, especially if specific Fahrenheit temperatures are critical.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your deep fryer and ensure safe operation.

  1. Cool Down: Always ensure the fryer and oil have cooled completely before attempting any cleaning. This can take several hours.
  2. Drain Oil: Carefully remove the heating element and control unit. Lift the oil tank from the main unit. Dispose of used oil responsibly. If reusing oil, filter it through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove food particles.
  3. Clean Components: Wash the oil tank, frying basket, and lid with warm, soapy water. For stubborn residue, a non-abrasive scrubber can be used. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  4. Clean Heating Element and Control Unit: Wipe the heating coils and the exterior of the control unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the heating element or control unit in water or any other liquid. Ensure all electrical connections are dry before reassembly.
  5. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
  6. Storage: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the fryer or store components separately in a clean, dry place.

Caution: Some edges of the oil tank may be sharp. Wear protective gloves when handling the tank, especially during oil changes, to prevent cuts.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your deep fryer, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Fryer does not turn on.Not plugged in; power outlet issue; heating element not properly seated.Ensure the unit is securely plugged into a working, grounded outlet. Check if the heating element and control unit assembly is correctly placed on the oil tank and the safety switch (if present) is engaged.
Oil not heating up.Temperature dial set too low; insufficient oil; heating element not fully submerged.Increase the temperature setting. Ensure oil level is between MIN and MAX lines. Verify the heating element is fully submerged in oil.
Temperature dial readings are inaccurate (Celsius vs. Fahrenheit). The dial is primarily marked in Celsius, which may not align with common Fahrenheit cooking temperatures.Refer to the provided temperature conversion table in the "Operating Instructions" section. For precise temperature control, use a separate, reliable deep-fry thermometer to verify oil temperature.
No dedicated ON/OFF switch.Unit design does not include a separate ON/OFF switch. To turn off the unit, always unplug it from the wall outlet. This is the primary method for power disconnection.
Food is soggy or not crispy.Oil temperature too low; basket overloaded; food too wet.Ensure oil reaches the correct temperature before adding food. Fry in smaller batches. Pat food dry before frying to remove excess moisture.
