The appliance consists of a main power base and a removable stainless steel jug. The jug has a handle and a transparent lid. Two types of whisks are provided: one for frothing and one for heating milk without frothing. These whisks can be stored conveniently under the base unit.
Operating Instructions
1. Choosing the Whisk
- Frothing Whisk: Use the whisk with the coil for creating hot or cold milk foam.
- Heating Whisk: Use the whisk without the coil for heating milk without frothing (e.g., for hot chocolate).
Place the desired whisk securely onto the shaft at the bottom of the stainless steel jug.

2. Filling Milk
- Pour milk into the stainless steel jug. Observe the internal MAX fill lines:
- For frothing (hot or cold foam), do not exceed the lower MAX line (approximately 260 ml) to prevent overflow.
- For heating milk (without frothing), do not exceed the upper MAX line (approximately 500 ml).
- For best results, use cold, fresh milk. Plant-based or semi-skimmed milk is recommended for optimal frothing.
3. Selecting Mode and Operation
- Place the jug onto the power base. Ensure it is seated correctly.
- Place the transparent lid on the jug.
- Press the single control button on the front of the base unit to cycle through the modes:
- Short press (once): Hot frothing (red indicator light, approx. 65°C). Ideal for cappuccinos and lattes.
- Short press (twice): Hot milk (blue indicator light, approx. 80°C). Ideal for hot chocolate.
- Long press (approx. 2 seconds): Cold frothing (blue indicator light flashes). Ideal for iced coffees.
- The appliance will automatically stop when the selected temperature is reached or the cycle is complete.

Maintenance and Cleaning
1. Cleaning the Jug and Whisks
- Always unplug the base unit before cleaning.
- Immediately after each use, remove the jug from the base.
- Wash the stainless steel jug, lid, and whisks with warm, soapy water. The non-porous design of the stainless steel helps prevent odors and bacteria.
- Rinse thoroughly under running water and dry completely with a soft cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal scouring pads, or harsh detergents, as these can damage the surface.

- Never immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure the power connector area is dry before plugging in.
3. Storage
- Store the appliance in a clean, dry place when not in use.
- The whisks can be stored conveniently under the base unit to prevent loss.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Duronic MF500, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Appliance does not turn on:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check if there is a power outage or a tripped circuit breaker.
- Milk is not frothing or heating properly:
- Verify that the correct whisk is installed for your desired function (frothing whisk for foam, heating whisk for hot milk).
- Ensure the milk level is within the specified MAX lines for frothing (260 ml) or heating (500 ml). Overfilling or underfilling can affect performance.
- Use cold, fresh milk. Different types of milk (e.g., full-fat, skimmed, plant-based) can produce varying results. Semi-skimmed or plant-based milks often yield the best foam.
- Ensure the jug is clean and free from residue, which can interfere with whisk rotation.
- Milk overflows during operation:
- You may have exceeded the maximum fill line for frothing (260 ml). Always adhere to the indicated fill levels.
- Unusual noise during operation:
- Ensure the whisk is properly seated on the shaft at the bottom of the jug.
- Check for any foreign objects in the jug.
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
