Safety Instructions
Please read and understand all safety instructions before using the soldering iron. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Ventilation: Always use the soldering iron in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes from solder and flux.
- Heat Hazard: The soldering iron tip reaches very high temperatures (up to 450°C). Do not touch the tip or metal parts near it. Allow the iron to cool completely before handling or storing.
- Work Surface: Use a heat-resistant work surface. Keep flammable materials away from the soldering area.
- Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is in good condition and properly plugged into a grounded outlet. Do not use if the cord is damaged.
- Children and Pets: Keep the soldering iron out of reach of children and pets.
- Unplug When Not In Use: Always unplug the soldering iron when not in use or before performing any maintenance.
- Eye Protection: Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from splashes of molten solder or flux.
- Proper Use: Use the tool only for its intended purpose. Do not modify the soldering iron.

- Connect Power: Plug the soldering iron's US plug into a standard 110V AC grounded electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions

Image: A detailed diagram labeling the parts of the soldering iron, including the soldering tips, heat dissipation hole, silicone sheath, temperature buttons (+/-), temperature display screen, tail line protection sleeve, copper core power cord, and US plug.
- Power On: Once plugged in, the LCD display will illuminate, showing the current temperature.
- Adjust Temperature:
- Use the "+" button to increase the temperature.
- Use the "-" button to decrease the temperature.
- The temperature range is 200°C to 450°C. The display shows the temperature in Celsius.
- The iron will rapidly heat up to the set temperature.
- Tinning the Tip: Before first use or after cleaning, "tin" the tip by applying a small amount of solder to the heated tip. This helps prevent oxidation and ensures efficient heat transfer.
- Soldering:
- Clean the components to be soldered.
- Place the hot soldering iron tip against both the component lead and the PCB pad simultaneously to heat them.
- Apply solder to the heated joint, not directly to the iron tip. The solder should flow smoothly and create a shiny, conical joint.
- Remove the solder, then remove the iron. Allow the joint to cool naturally without disturbance.
- Power Off: Unplug the soldering iron from the power outlet when finished. Allow it to cool down completely before storing.
Maintenance
- Tip Cleaning:
- Regularly wipe the hot tip on a damp sponge or brass wire cleaner to remove excess solder and oxidation.
- Re-tin the tip after cleaning to protect it from oxidation.
- Tip Replacement: If the tip becomes pitted, corroded, or no longer accepts solder, it should be replaced. Ensure the iron is cool before changing tips.
- General Cleaning: Wipe the body of the soldering iron with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the soldering iron in a dry, safe place once it has completely cooled down. Use the protective cap if provided.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron not heating up. | Not plugged in; faulty power outlet; internal component failure. | Check power connection; try a different outlet; contact support if issue persists. |
| Temperature display is inaccurate or fluctuating. | Loose tip; faulty sensor; extreme ambient temperature. | Ensure tip is securely fastened; operate in a stable environment; contact support. |
| Solder does not melt or flow well. | Tip is dirty or oxidized; temperature set too low; incorrect solder type. | Clean and re-tin the tip; increase temperature; ensure appropriate solder is used. |
| Tip discolors or turns blue. | Overheating; lack of tinning; prolonged exposure to air at high temperatures. | Reduce temperature; ensure tip is properly tinned; clean and re-tin regularly. |
