Package Contents
Verify that all components are present in the package:
- SG05BB-LITE Chassis
- Accessory box with screws, standoffs, and cable ties
- User Manual (this document)
Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper component installation:
1. Prepare the Chassis
Remove the side panels and top cover to access the internal compartments. Refer to the diagram below for an overview of the case interior.

Figure 1: Internal layout of the SG05BB-LITE chassis. Note the pre-installed 120mm fan at the front.
2. Motherboard Installation
- Install the CPU, CPU cooler (ensure height is within 82mm), and RAM onto your Mini-ITX or Mini-DTX motherboard before placing it into the chassis.
- Align the motherboard with the pre-installed standoffs. The SG05BB-LITE features elevated standoffs for components on the motherboard's backside.
- Secure the motherboard using the provided screws.
3. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation
- The SG05BB-LITE supports SFX form factor power supplies.
- Mount the SFX PSU into its designated rear mount position.
- Secure the PSU with screws.

4. Storage Drive Installation
The case supports both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives.
- Locate the drive bays.
- Mount your 2.5-inch SSDs or 3.5-inch HDDs using the appropriate screws.
- Connect power and data cables to the drives.
5. Graphics Card Installation
The SG05BB-LITE can accommodate graphics cards up to 10 inches (254mm) in length.
- Insert the graphics card into the PCI-E slot on the motherboard.
- Secure the card with the retention mechanism or screw.
- Ensure adequate clearance, especially for dual-fan cards, as space can be tight.
6. Front Panel Connections
Connect the front panel cables (USB, audio, power switch, reset switch, power LED, HDD LED) to the corresponding headers on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for header locations.

7. Cable Management
Route cables neatly to ensure optimal airflow and prevent interference with components. Use the provided cable ties to secure excess cabling.
8. Reassemble the Chassis
Once all components are installed and cables are managed, reattach the side panels and top cover. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.
Operating Instructions
After assembly, connect your monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power cable to the system. Press the power button on the front panel to start your computer. The front 120mm fan provides positive pressure cooling, drawing cool air into the case to maintain optimal component temperatures.
Maintenance
- Dust Cleaning: Regularly clean the dust filters (if present) and the interior of the case to maintain optimal airflow and cooling performance. Use compressed air to remove dust from fans and heatsinks.
- Fan Inspection: Periodically check the 120mm front fan for any obstructions or unusual noises.
- Cable Management: Ensure cables remain tidy to avoid impeding airflow.
Troubleshooting
- System Not Powering On:
- Verify all power cables are securely connected to the motherboard, graphics card, and drives.
- Ensure the PSU is switched on and connected to a working power outlet.
- Check front panel power switch connections to the motherboard.
- Overheating Issues:
- Confirm the 120mm front fan is spinning correctly.
- Ensure CPU cooler is properly seated and making good contact with the CPU.
- Check for dust buildup obstructing airflow.
- Verify that the CPU cooler height does not exceed 82mm and is not interfering with the side panel.
- Component Fit Issues:
- Graphics Card: Ensure your graphics card length does not exceed 10 inches (254mm). Some dual-fan cards may have tight clearances; verify dimensions before installation.
- Optical Drive: If installing a slim optical drive, ensure its mounting tabs align correctly with the chassis. Some users may need to adjust the drive cage for optimal fit.
