1. Introduction

The rear panel provides multiple connectivity options for your audio sources:

  • HDMI (ARC) Port: For connecting to a TV with Audio Return Channel support.
  • OPTICAL Input: For digital audio connection from devices like TVs or game consoles.
  • COAXIAL Input: Another digital audio input option.
  • AUX Input: For analog audio connection from devices with a 3.5mm or RCA output.
  • DC IN: Power input port.

4. Setup

4.1 Placement

The soundbar can be placed on a flat surface, such as a TV stand or desk, or mounted on a wall.

  • Tabletop Placement: Position the soundbar centrally below your TV, ensuring it does not obstruct the TV's remote sensor.
  • Wall Mounting: Use the provided wall mounting brackets and screws. Ensure the wall can support the weight of the soundbar. Mark the drilling points accurately, drill holes, insert wall plugs, and secure the brackets before attaching the soundbar.

4.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the soundbar.
  2. Connect the power cable to the power adapter.
  3. Plug the power cable into a suitable wall outlet.

4.3 Audio Connections

Choose one of the following connection methods based on your source device:

  • HDMI (ARC): Connect an HDMI cable (not included) from the soundbar's HDMI (ARC) port to your TV's HDMI (ARC) port. This allows audio from the TV to be sent to the soundbar and enables control of the soundbar volume with your TV remote.
  • Optical: Connect an optical audio cable (not included) from the soundbar's OPTICAL input to your TV's or other device's optical output. Ensure your device's audio output is set to PCM format.
  • Coaxial: Connect a coaxial audio cable (not included) from the soundbar's COAXIAL input to your TV's or other device's coaxial output.
  • AUX: Use the provided RCA to 3.5mm audio cable to connect the soundbar's AUX input to the audio output of your device (e.g., TV headphone jack, smartphone).

  • USB: Insert a USB flash drive (FAT32 format) containing MP3 audio files into the USB port on the side of the soundbar for direct playback.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Remote Control Functions

The soundbar is primarily controlled using the included remote control. Ensure batteries (not included) are inserted correctly.

  • POWER (⏻): Turns the soundbar on or off.
  • MUTE: Mutes or unmutes the audio.
  • INPUT: Selects the audio input source (Bluetooth, HDMI, Optical, Coaxial, AUX, USB).
  • VOL+ / VOL-: Increases or decreases the volume.
  • PAIR: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • ⏮ / ⏭: Previous / Next track (USB/Bluetooth mode).
  • ⏸ / ⏵: Play / Pause (USB/Bluetooth mode).
  • RESET: Resets sound settings to default.
  • MOVIE / MUSIC / NEWS / 3D: Selects preset equalizer modes for different audio experiences.
  • BASS+ / BASS-: Adjusts bass levels.
  • TREB+ / TREB-: Adjusts treble levels.

5.2 Power On/Off

Press the POWER button on the remote control or the power button on the side of the soundbar to turn the unit on or off.

5.3 Selecting Input Source

Press the INPUT button on the remote control repeatedly to cycle through the available input sources: Bluetooth, HDMI (ARC), Optical, Coaxial, AUX, and USB. The LED display on the soundbar will indicate the currently selected input.

5.4 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Turn on the soundbar and select Bluetooth input using the INPUT button. The LED display will show "BT" and flash, indicating pairing mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Smpl SP5001" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the LED display will stop flashing and remain solid "BT". You can now play audio from your device through the soundbar.
  5. To disconnect, turn off Bluetooth on your device or press the PAIR button on the remote control.

5.5 USB Playback

Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port. The soundbar will automatically switch to USB input and begin playing compatible audio files (MP3). Use the remote control for playback functions (play/pause, next/previous track).

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the soundbar. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: If storing the soundbar for an extended period, disconnect it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No power Power cable not connected or power outlet not active. Ensure the power cable is securely connected to the soundbar and a working power outlet.
No sound Incorrect input source selected; volume too low; cables not connected properly; TV audio output settings incorrect.
  • Select the correct input source using the INPUT button.
  • Increase the volume on both the soundbar and the source device.
  • Check all audio cables for secure connections.
  • For Optical/Coaxial, ensure TV audio output is set to PCM. For HDMI ARC, ensure ARC is enabled on your TV.
Bluetooth pairing fails Soundbar not in pairing mode; device too far; interference.
  • Ensure the soundbar is in Bluetooth input mode and "BT" is flashing.
  • Move your device closer to the soundbar (within 10 meters).
  • Turn off other Bluetooth devices to reduce interference.
Remote control not working Batteries depleted or incorrectly inserted; obstruction between remote and soundbar.
  • Replace batteries and ensure correct polarity.
  • Remove any obstructions between the remote control and the soundbar's sensor.
