Introduction

Thank you for choosing the AKASO NV01 Digital Infrared Night Vision Binoculars. This device is designed to provide clear viewing in total darkness, enabling you to capture photos and videos of wildlife, monitor your property, or assist in tactical operations. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device to ensure proper usage and optimal performance.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The device requires 6xAA alkaline batteries (not included). Locate the battery compartments on the underside of the binoculars. Open the covers, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and securely close the covers.

2. SD Card Insertion

A 32GB Micro SD card is included for photo and video storage. Open the rubber cover on the side of the device to reveal the Micro SD card slot. Insert the card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place. Close the rubber cover to protect the port from dust and moisture.

3. Tripod Mounting

For stable viewing and recording, especially during extended use or at high zoom levels, the device features a 1/4-inch screw hole on the bottom for tripod mounting. Attach the binoculars to a compatible tripod for enhanced stability.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

To power on the device, long-press the MODE/POWER button located on the top panel. The internal screen will illuminate. To power off, long-press the same button until the screen shuts down.

2. Mode Selection

Short-press the MODE/POWER button to cycle through the available modes: Video Recording, Photo Capture, and Playback.

3. IR Illumination Adjustment

The device features 7 levels of infrared (IR) brightness. Use the IR+ and IR- buttons to adjust the IR intensity. Higher levels provide greater visibility in darker conditions but consume more battery power.

4. Manual Focusing

Adjust the focus by rotating the manual focus ring on the objective lens until the image appears sharp on the internal screen.

5. Digital Zoom

The device supports up to 4x digital zoom. Use the IR+ (zoom in) and IR- (zoom out) buttons to adjust the magnification. Note that digital zoom may reduce image quality.

6. WiFi Connection and App Usage

To connect the binoculars to your smartphone, press the WiFi button on the device. Download the "NV Plus" app from your app store. Connect your phone to the binoculars' WiFi network (named "NV_xxxxxxxxxxxx") using the default password "123456789". Through the app, you can view real-time images, take photos/videos, adjust IR levels, and manage files.

7. File Management

In Playback mode, use the IR+ and IR- buttons to navigate through your captured photos and videos. Press the OK button to play videos. You can also manage files (view, download, share, delete) directly through the "NV Plus" app.
