1. Setup

1.1 What's Included

Verify that all components are present in the package:

1.2 Charging the Headphones

Before initial use, fully charge the headphones. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the headphones and to a compatible USB power source. The charging time is approximately 40 hours for a full charge, providing up to 20 hours of battery life.

1.3 Bluetooth Pairing (Wireless Connection)

1. Ensure the headphones are charged and powered off.
2. Press and hold the power button on the headphones until the LED indicator flashes, indicating pairing mode.

1.4 Wired Connection

To use the headphones in wired mode, connect the provided 3.5mm audio cable to the audio jack on the headphones and to your audio device. This allows continued use even when the battery is depleted.

2. Operation

2.1 Power On/Off

To power on the headphones, press and hold the power button until the LED indicator lights up. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the LED indicator turns off.

2.2 Volume Control and SafeAudio Modes

The BuddyPhones Play Plus features certified built-in volume-limiting circuitry to protect children's hearing. There are three selectable SafeAudio modes:

• ToddlerMode: Maximum volume of 75dB
• KidsMode: Maximum volume of 85dB
• TravelMode: Maximum volume of 94dB

Use the volume control buttons on the headphones to adjust the listening level within the selected mode. Refer to the headphone controls for specific button functions.

2.3 StudyMode

The patented StudyMode feature enhances vocal clarity by isolating voices from other sounds. This mode is ideal for educational content, online lessons, or video calls, helping children focus better. Activate StudyMode using the dedicated button on the headphones.

2.4 Answer/Playback Button and Built-in Microphone

The headphones include an Answer/Playback button for managing audio playback and calls. The built-in microphone allows for hands-free communication, suitable for online classes or voice chats.

2.5 BuddyLink for Audio Sharing

The BuddyLink cable allows multiple BuddyPhones to connect to a single audio source, enabling shared listening experiences. Connect the BuddyLink cable to the sharing port on one headphone and then to the audio input of another BuddyPhones device.

3.1 Cleaning

To clean the headphones, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters the ports or speaker grilles. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

4.1 No Sound or Low Volume

• Ensure the headphones are powered on and charged.
• Check the volume level on both the headphones and the connected device.
• If using Bluetooth, ensure the headphones are properly paired.
• If using a wired connection, ensure the 3.5mm cable is fully inserted into both the headphones and the audio source.
• Verify that the correct SafeAudio mode is selected (ToddlerMode, KidsMode, TravelMode) and adjust if necessary.

4.2 Bluetooth Connection Issues

• Ensure the headphones are in pairing mode (flashing LED).
• Turn off and on the Bluetooth function on your device.
• Move the headphones closer to the device to ensure they are within the 10-meter range.
• Forget the device in your Bluetooth settings and attempt to re-pair.
• Ensure no other devices are actively connected to the headphones.

4.3 Charging Problems

• Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the headphones and the power source.
• Try a different USB-C charging cable or power adapter.
