This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your LEJIEYIN MODEL-1000A Electric High-Speed Grain Grinder Mill. Please read all instructions carefully before initial use and retain this manual for future reference.

Important Safety Information

• The grinder is designed for dry materials only. Do not use with wet, moist, oily, or sticky ingredients.
• Ensure the lid is fully buckled before operating the machine. The grinder will not start if the lid is not securely closed.
• Do not continuously operate the machine for more than 3 minutes. Allow a rest period of 5-10 minutes after every 3 minutes of grinding to prevent overheating.
• Do not fill the grinding bin more than 2/3 of the bin's capacity to allow space for blade rotation.
• Never clean the grinding tank with water directly. Keep water away from the motor and electrical components. Use a dry rag or the provided brush for cleaning.
• The machine features overload protection and will automatically shut off if overloaded. Gently press the red reset button to resume operation.
• This machine is UL, FCC, and CE certified for safety.

Setup

1. Unpack all components and accessories from the packaging.
2. Place the grinder on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
3. Before first use, clean the grinding bin and blades with the provided brush or a dry cloth to remove any manufacturing residue.
4. Ensure the power cord is securely connected to the unit and then to a suitable power outlet.

Operating Instructions

This grinder is versatile and suitable for pulverizing various dry materials such as grains (rice, corn, barley, wheat, coffee beans), spices (star anise, fennel, pepper, rosemary), herbs, sesame, peanuts, and walnuts.

1. Prepare Materials: Ensure all materials are completely dry. Do not use wet or oily ingredients.
2. Load Grinder: Pour the dry material into the grinding bin. Do not fill more than 2/3 of the bin's capacity. Ensure the material covers the long blade.
3. Secure Lid: Place the upper cover onto the grinding bin and secure it by engaging the lockpins on both sides. The power indicator light will illuminate when the lid is properly secured, indicating the machine is ready for operation.
4. Set Timer: Use the timer knob (0-5 minutes) to set the desired grinding duration. For most materials, a short duration (e.g., 30-60 seconds) is sufficient for a fine powder.
5. Start Grinding: Press the power button to start the grinding process. The machine will automatically stop once the set time has elapsed.
6. Monitor and Rest: Do not operate continuously for more than 3 minutes. Allow the machine to rest for 5-10 minutes between grinding cycles to prevent motor strain.
7. Emptying the Bin: After grinding, unplug the machine. Release the lockpins and open the lid. The 180° swing feature allows you to easily tilt the machine to pour out the ground powder without lifting the entire unit.

Maintenance and Cleaning

• Cleaning: After each use, unplug the machine. Use a moist paper towel or cloth to wipe down the grinding bin and blades. Do not rinse directly with water, as this can damage the motor. Use the provided brush to remove any remaining powder.
• Drying: After cleaning, place the unit in a well-ventilated area to ensure the inner compartment is completely dry before covering and storing. Avoid direct sunlight.
• Blade Replacement: To replace blades, disconnect power, use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw, and remove the top fixing stainless steel nut with a socket or pliers.
• Carbon Brush Replacement: Carbon brushes are external and can be conveniently replaced when needed.
• Storage: If not using the machine for an extended period, store it in a dry and ventilated place.

Troubleshooting

• Motor Sparks/Smell: Due to the brush motor, it is normal for sparks and a slight smell to occur in the motor area during the first few uses. This will typically disappear after some use. To help eliminate the odor, you can grind some rice or dried tea several times initially.
• Machine Not Starting: Ensure the lid is fully buckled and the power indicator light is on. If the light is off, re-secure the lid. Check if the machine is overloaded; if so, press the red reset button.
• Overload Protection: If the machine stops unexpectedly, it may be due to an overload. Reduce the amount of material in the bin and press the red reset button to resume.
