Setup
1. Powering the Unit
The SB3705BW can be powered by batteries or via USB.
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Insert 2 "AA" size batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
- USB Power: Connect the included USB power cable to the 5V USB IN port on the unit and to a standard USB power source (e.g., car USB port, USB wall adapter, computer USB port).
2. Connecting Earbuds
For personal listening, plug the 3.5mm jack of the color-coordinated stereo earbuds into the earphone jack on the side of the CD player.
3. Attaching to Car Vent (Optional)
The included magnetic holder allows for convenient placement in your vehicle.

- Attach the magnetic holder securely to a suitable car air vent.
- Ensure the metal plate (if not already affixed) is attached to the back of your CD player.
- Carefully place the CD player onto the magnetic holder.
Operating Instructions
1. Playing a CD
- Slide the OFF/POWER ON switch to the "ON" position.
- Press the "OPEN" button on the side of the unit to open the CD compartment lid.
- Place a CD onto the center spindle with the label side facing up. Gently press the CD until it clicks into place.
- Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it latches.
- The player will automatically begin reading the CD and playback will start. The LCD display will show the track number and elapsed time.
- Use the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause or resume playback.
- Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons (◀◀ / ▶▶) to skip tracks or fast forward/rewind within a track.
- Press the STOP button to stop playback.
2. FM Transmission to Car Radio
This feature allows you to listen to your CD through your car's FM radio.
- Ensure a CD is playing in the SB3705BW.
- The unit's transmit frequency is preset at 88.1 MHz.
- Tune your car radio to 88.1 MHz. You should hear the CD playback through your car speakers.
- If 88.1 MHz is not clear, you can change the transmission frequency on the CD player. Press the M+ or M- buttons to adjust the frequency between 87.5 MHz and 108 MHz.
- Once you have selected a new frequency on the CD player, tune your car radio to the exact same frequency for clear audio. The transmit frequency will be shown on the LCD display.
3. Using the FM Stereo PLL Radio
The unit also functions as a standalone FM radio.
- Slide the OFF/POWER ON switch to the "ON" position.
- Press the FM button to switch to FM radio mode. The current frequency will appear on the LCD display.
- Use the M+ or M- buttons to manually tune to your desired FM station.
- To auto-scan and save stations: Press and hold the PROG/MEM button. The unit will scan and automatically save available stations.
- To recall saved stations: Briefly press the PROG/MEM button to cycle through saved stations.
4. Anti-Skip Protection
The SB3705BW features 60-second anti-skip protection to ensure uninterrupted playback during movement. This feature buffers audio data, allowing the player to continue playing even if minor shocks or vibrations occur.
5. Exercise Lock Switch
Located on the side of the unit, the Exercise Lock Switch (HOLD) prevents accidental button presses during active use. Slide the switch to the "HOLD" position to disable all buttons. Slide it back to the "OFF" position to re-enable controls.
Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity of your CD player.
- Cleaning the Unit: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Cleaning the Lens: If the CD player experiences reading errors, the laser lens may be dirty. Use a commercially available CD lens cleaner disc to clean the lens. Do not touch the lens directly.
- Battery Care: If the unit will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and corrosion.
- Storage: Store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
