4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Initial Placement

  1. Uncoil the 5-foot braided extension cord.
  2. Place the power strip in a desired location, ensuring it is on a stable, dry surface and away from heat sources.
  3. Ensure the power strip's cord can reach a standard grounded wall outlet without tension.

4.2 Wall Mounting (Optional)

The power strip can be securely mounted to a wall or desk using the two keyhole slots on the back.

  1. Measure the distance between the two keyhole slots on the back of the power strip.

  4. Align the keyhole slots on the back of the power strip with the screw heads and slide the power strip down to secure it in place.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Ensure the power strip's main power switch is in the "OFF" position before plugging it into a wall outlet.
  2. Plug the power strip's flat plug into a standard 120V grounded wall receptacle.
  3. Press the main power switch to the "ON" position. The "Surge Protected" indicator light should illuminate, confirming active surge protection.
  4. Plug your electronic devices into the AC outlets. The wide spacing accommodates larger adapters.
  5. Connect your USB-powered devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) to the USB-A or USB-C charging ports. The power strip will automatically detect and deliver optimal charging current.
  6. To turn off power to all connected devices, press the main power switch to the "OFF" position.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Always unplug the power strip from the wall outlet before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the power strip with a soft, dry cloth.
  • DO NOT use liquid cleaners or chemical solvents, as these can damage the unit or pose an electrical hazard.
  • Regularly inspect the power cord and plug for any signs of damage. If damaged, discontinue use immediately.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem: The power strip is not providing power to devices.
Solution 1: Check if the power strip's main switch is in the "ON" position.
Solution 2: Ensure the power strip is fully plugged into a functional wall outlet.
Solution 3: Check if the circuit breaker (integrated with the power switch) has tripped. If so, unplug some devices and reset the switch.
Solution 4: Verify that the total power consumption of connected devices does not exceed 1875W/15A.
Problem: The "Surge Protected" indicator light is off.
Solution: This indicates that the surge protection components may have been compromised by a significant power surge. While the power strip may still function as an extension cord, its surge protection capability is no longer active. It is recommended to replace the unit for continued surge protection.
Problem: USB ports are not charging devices.
Solution 1: Ensure the power strip is turned on and receiving power.
Solution 2: Try a different USB cable or device to rule out a faulty cable or device.
Solution 3: Ensure the device is compatible with the USB charging specifications (5V/3.1A total output).
