3. Setup and Assembly

3.1 Charging the Battery

The 4.0Ah Lithium-ion battery pack is partially charged upon shipment. Fully charge the battery before first use.

1. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet.
2. Slide the battery pack onto the charger until it clicks into place.
3. The charging indicator lights on the charger will show the charging status. Refer to the charger manual for specific light patterns.
4. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger from the power outlet and remove the battery pack.

Note: The battery indicator on the battery pack itself will also show the charge level when pressed.

3.2 Installing/Removing the Battery Pack

1. To Install: Align the battery pack with the base of the drill handle. Slide it firmly until it locks into place with a click.
2. To Remove: Press the battery release button located on the front of the battery pack and slide the battery out of the handle.

3.3 Attaching the Auxiliary Handle

The auxiliary handle provides additional control and stability, especially during high-torque or hammer drilling applications.

1. Loosen the auxiliary handle by rotating its grip counter-clockwise.
2. Slide the handle collar over the front of the drill body, behind the chuck.
3. Position the handle to your desired angle for comfortable and secure grip.
4. Tighten the auxiliary handle by rotating its grip clockwise until it is securely fastened.

3.4 Installing/Removing Drill Bits

The 1/2-inch all-metal keyless chuck allows for quick and secure bit changes.

1. To Install: Rotate the chuck collar counter-clockwise to open the jaws. Insert the drill bit fully into the chuck. Rotate the chuck collar clockwise to tighten the jaws securely around the bit. Ensure the bit is centered and firmly held.
2. To Remove: Rotate the chuck collar counter-clockwise to loosen the jaws and pull the drill bit out.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off and Variable Speed

The drill is activated by pressing the variable speed trigger switch. The speed of the drill is proportional to how far the trigger is pressed. Releasing the trigger turns the drill off.

• Low Speed (0-500 RPM): Suitable for driving screws and drilling larger holes in softer materials.
• High Speed (0-2000 RPM): Ideal for drilling smaller holes and faster drilling in various materials.

4.2 Forward/Reverse Rotation

The forward/reverse button, located above the trigger, controls the direction of the chuck rotation.

• Push the button to the left for forward (clockwise) rotation.
• Push the button to the right for reverse (counter-clockwise) rotation.
• Center the button to lock the trigger and prevent accidental starting.

4.3 Torque Adjustment and Mode Selection

The torque adjustment collar allows you to select the appropriate torque setting for driving screws or choose between drilling and hammer drilling modes.

• Screwing Mode (Torque Settings 1-24): Rotate the collar to a numbered setting. Lower numbers are for smaller screws or softer materials, higher numbers for larger screws or harder materials. The clutch will disengage when the set torque is reached, preventing overtightening or stripping.
• Drill Mode (⚒ symbol): For general drilling without clutch action. Provides full power for drilling into wood, metal, and plastics.
• Hammer Drill Mode (🔨 symbol): For drilling into masonry, concrete, and brick. This mode combines rotary action with a hammering action for faster penetration. Ensure the auxiliary handle is securely attached for this mode.

4.4 Using the LED Work Light

The built-in LED light automatically illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, providing visibility in dark or confined spaces.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

• Always disconnect the battery pack before cleaning.
