Use the waterproof connectors to protect the Ethernet cable connection if exposed to the elements.
2. App Installation & Network Connection
- Download the App: Search for "Camhi" or "Camhipro" in your smartphone's app store (available for iOS and Android). Install the application.
- Initial Connection (LAN): For the first-time setup, it is recommended to connect the camera to your router via the provided Ethernet cable. Ensure your smartphone is connected to the same network.
- Add Device in App: Open the app, select to add a new device, and follow the on-screen instructions to search for and add your camera.
- Configure Wi-Fi: Once the camera is added via LAN, navigate to the camera settings within the app to configure your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network credentials. After successful Wi-Fi configuration, you can disconnect the Ethernet cable.

Troubleshooting
- Connectivity Issues: Ensure the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi network or that the Ethernet cable is securely connected. Verify your router's settings and ensure the camera has a stable internet connection.
- False Motion Alerts: Adjust the motion detection sensitivity and define specific detection zones within the app to reduce unwanted alerts from environmental factors like moving plants or shadows.
- Email/FTP Upload Problems: Double-check your email and FTP server settings in the app. Ensure the credentials are correct and that your network allows outbound connections to these services.
- Time Synchronization: Always set the correct time zone in the camera's settings to avoid discrepancies in recorded footage timestamps.
- Resetting the Camera: If you encounter persistent issues, locate the reset button on the camera's cable (often covered by a waterproof cap) and press it for several seconds to restore factory settings.
