  • Self-Inflating Design: Automatically inflates upon opening the valves.
  • 2-Inch Thickness: Provides insulation and comfort from the ground.
  • Connectable: Side buttons allow multiple pads to be joined together.
  • Two-Way Valve: Facilitates easy inflation and rapid deflation.
  • Durable Materials: Constructed with 190T pongee waterproof fabric, PVC sealing layer, and high-resilience sponge.

3. Setup and Inflation

Follow these steps to properly set up and inflate your Naturehike Self-Inflating Sleeping Pad:

  1. Unroll the Pad: Remove the sleeping pad from its storage bag and unroll it completely on a flat surface.
  2. Open Valves: Locate the two-way inflation valves (typically at one end of the pad). Open both valves by twisting them counter-clockwise.
  3. Allow Self-Inflation: The internal foam will begin to expand, drawing air into the pad. Allow 5-10 minutes for the pad to self-inflate. The pad will typically reach 50-70% of its maximum firmness through self-inflation.
  4. Manual Inflation (Optional): For a firmer sleeping surface, manually add air by blowing into one of the open valves. Close the valve briefly between breaths to prevent air from escaping. Once desired firmness is achieved, quickly close both valves by twisting them clockwise.

4. Connecting Multiple Pads

The Naturehike Self-Inflating Sleeping Pad is designed with side buttons to allow multiple pads to be connected, creating a larger sleeping area. To connect pads:

  1. Lay two or more inflated pads side-by-side.
  2. Align the buttons on the edge of one pad with the buttonholes on the adjacent pad.
  3. Press the buttons firmly into the buttonholes to secure the pads together.

Ensure all pads are fully inflated before connecting for the best fit and comfort.

5. Deflation and Storage

To deflate and store your sleeping pad:

  1. Open Valves: Open both two-way inflation valves by twisting them counter-clockwise.
  2. Roll the Pad: Starting from the end opposite the valves, begin to tightly roll the sleeping pad. As you roll, apply pressure to force the air out through the open valves.
  3. Close Valves: Once the pad is fully rolled and most of the air has been expelled, quickly close the valves by twisting them clockwise to prevent air from re-entering.
  4. Secure and Store: Use the included straps or ties to secure the rolled pad. Place it back into its storage bag.

For long-term storage, it is recommended to store the pad unrolled with valves open in a cool, dry place to maintain the foam's loft and self-inflating properties.

6. Maintenance and Care

Proper maintenance will extend the life of your sleeping pad:

  • Cleaning: Spot clean the pad with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Ensure the pad is completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
  • Repair: In case of a puncture, use the included repair patch kit. Clean the area around the puncture, apply the patch according to the kit instructions, and allow sufficient drying time before use.
  • Avoid Sharp Objects: Keep the sleeping pad away from sharp objects, abrasive surfaces, and open flames.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the pad to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.

7. Troubleshooting

Slow or Incomplete Inflation:

  • Ensure both valves are fully open.
  • Allow more time for the pad to self-inflate, especially during first use or after long-term compressed storage.
  • Manually add air by blowing into the valve until desired firmness is reached.
  • For long-term storage, store the pad unrolled with valves open to help the foam regain its loft.

Pad Loses Air:

  • Ensure valves are tightly closed after inflation.
  • Check for punctures or leaks. Inflate the pad and submerge it in water (if possible) or apply soapy water to the surface to locate bubbles indicating a leak. Use the repair patch kit for any identified leaks.
