4. Setup and Installation
Tools Required (not included): Screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, safety glasses.
- Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the junction box where the fixture will be installed.
- Prepare Wires: Carefully remove the existing fixture (if any). Strip 3/4 inch of insulation from the ends of the house supply wires.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate (crossbar) to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Make Electrical Connections:
- Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the house ground wire (usually bare copper or green) using a wire nut.
- Connect the ribbed or marked fixture wire (neutral) to the house white wire (neutral) using a wire nut.
- Connect the smooth or unmarked fixture wire (hot) to the house black wire (hot) using a wire nut.
- Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box.

- Install Light Bulb: Screw in an ST64 type light bulb (max 1 Watt, or as specified on the fixture) into the socket.
