1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation

Tools Required (not included): Screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, safety glasses.

1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box and turn off the power to the junction box where the fixture will be installed.
2. Prepare Wires: Carefully remove the existing fixture (if any). Strip 3/4 inch of insulation from the ends of the house supply wires.
3. Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate (crossbar) to the junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
4. Make Electrical Connections:
   • Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the house ground wire (usually bare copper or green) using a wire nut.
   • Connect the ribbed or marked fixture wire (neutral) to the house white wire (neutral) using a wire nut.
   • Connect the smooth or unmarked fixture wire (hot) to the house black wire (hot) using a wire nut.
   • Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box.
5. Mount Fixture: Align the fixture with the mounting plate and secure it using the provided screws or decorative nuts.
6. Install Light Bulb: Screw in an ST64 type light bulb (max 1 Watt, or as specified on the fixture) into the socket.
7. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

Once installed and power is restored, the Innovations 288-1W-BAB-M4-AB Wall Sconce operates via a standard wall switch connected to the electrical circuit. Simply toggle the wall switch to turn the light fixture on or off.
