3. Setup
3.1 NVR Connection
- Connect the NVR to a power source using the provided power adapter.
- Connect the NVR to your router using an Ethernet cable for network access.
- Connect a monitor to the NVR via HDMI or VGA for initial setup and local viewing.
- Plug in the USB mouse to the NVR for navigation.

3.2 Camera Installation
The IP cameras utilize Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation, requiring only a single Ethernet cable for both power and video transmission.
- Mount each camera in your desired location, ensuring a clear field of view. The cameras are built for any climate (IP67 rated).
- Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the camera and the other end to an available PoE port on the NVR.
- Adjust the camera angle as needed.

4. Operating the System
4.1 Initial Configuration
Upon first power-up, follow the on-screen prompts on the connected monitor to set up your NVR, including language, time zone, and password creation.
4.2 Live View and Playback
- Local Viewing: Use the connected monitor and USB mouse to navigate the NVR interface for live viewing of all cameras and playback of recorded footage.
- Mobile Viewing: Download the Lorex Cloud app on your mobile device. Register an account and add your NVR by scanning the QR code or entering the device ID. This allows remote access to live feeds, recorded video, and push notifications.
4.3 Smart Motion Detection
The cameras feature Smart Motion Detection, which helps reduce unnecessary alerts by distinguishing between people and vehicles. Configure motion detection zones and sensitivity settings through the NVR interface or the Lorex Cloud app to receive precise notifications.
4.4 Recording and Storage
