3. Setup and Installation

Installation Considerations:

• Mounting Height: For optimal performance and safety, ensure the range hood is installed at the recommended height above your cooking surface. Refer to the manual for specific measurements for electric and gas cooktops.
• Ducted Installation: Requires a 7-inch diameter exhaust pipe (not included) to vent air outside.
• Ductless Installation: Utilizes the aluminum mesh and activated carbon cotton composite filter to purify air before recirculating it back into the kitchen.
• Electrical Connection: The unit requires a 120V power supply. A power plug is not included.

4. Operating Instructions

The range hood features intuitive controls for fan speed and lighting.

Fan Operation:

• The exhaust fan has two speed settings: Low and High.
• Use the Low speed for light cooking, simmering, or when minimal ventilation is required.
• Select the High speed for heavy cooking, frying, or when strong odor and smoke removal is necessary.
• Controls are typically located on the front panel of the unit.

Lighting:

• The range hood includes an E26 lamp holder for an LED bulb (max 9W, bulb not included).
• Use the dedicated light switch to turn the cooking surface illumination on or off.

Filter Cleaning and Replacement:

• Aluminum Mesh Filter: This filter is reusable and dishwasher safe. Clean it regularly (e.g., monthly, depending on cooking frequency) to remove grease buildup.
• Aluminum & Activated Carbon Cotton Composite Filter: Used for ductless (recirculating) installations. This filter should be replaced approximately every 3 to 4 months. Replacement part number is CVU30-F. Search for B09W4CFBFL on Amazon for replacements.
