This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your AT&T CL82267 DECT 6.0 2-Handset Cordless Phone system. This system features DECT 6.0 technology for enhanced range and clarity, a digital answering machine, Smart Call Blocker, Caller ID Announce, and intercom functionality. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper use and to take full advantage of all features.

Setup
1. Unboxing and Package Contents
Verify that your package contains the following items:
- Base unit
- 2 handsets
- 1 charger (for the second handset)
- 2 AC adaptors (one for the base, one for the charger)
- 2 battery packs
- Wall mount bracket
- Telephone line cord
- Quick start guide (refer to this full manual for complete instructions)
2. Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of each handset.
- Connect the battery pack plug securely into the jack inside the compartment.
- Place the battery pack with the label facing up.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
Important: Use only the supplied battery packs. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the battery.
3. Connecting the Base Unit and Charger
- Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.
- Plug the small end of the base unit's AC adapter into the POWER jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the large end of the base unit's AC adapter into an electrical outlet.
- For the second handset, plug the small end of the charger's AC adapter into the POWER jack on the back of the charger.
- Plug the large end of the charger's AC adapter into an electrical outlet.
Note: Use only the AC adapters provided with this product. Do not connect the telephone line cord to a broadband modem or router if you have DSL internet service without a DSL filter.
4. Initial Charging
Place each handset in its respective base unit or charger. The CHARGE light on the handset will illuminate, indicating proper charging. Allow the handsets to charge for at least 16 hours before initial use to ensure optimal battery performance.
Operating Instructions
1. Making and Receiving Calls
- To Make a Call: Press PHONE or SPEAKER, then dial the number.
- To Answer a Call: When the phone rings, press PHONE or SPEAKER.
- To End a Call: Press OFF or place the handset in the charger.
2. Digital Answering System
The integrated digital answering system can record up to 22 minutes of messages, announcements, and memos. A voice guide assists with setup.

- To Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on the base unit.
- To Turn On/Off: Press ANS ON/OFF on the base unit.
3. Smart Call Blocker
The Smart Call Blocker feature helps filter unwanted calls. It can block up to 1,000 numbers.

- To Block a Number: During a call or after reviewing Caller ID, press the CALL BLOCK button on the handset.
- Call Screening: The system can announce callers and allow you to screen calls before answering.
4. Caller ID Announce
When a call comes in, the handset announces the name of the caller (if available in your directory or Caller ID service) so you know who is calling without looking at the display.

5. Intercom
Use the intercom feature to communicate between handsets or between a handset and the base unit.
- To Initiate Intercom: Press MENU/SELECT on a handset, scroll to "Intercom", and select the desired destination handset or base.
6. Speakerphone
Each handset includes a simulated full-duplex speakerphone, allowing hands-free conversations where both parties can speak and be heard simultaneously.

9. Expanding Your System
The system is expandable up to 12 handsets using AT&T CL80107 or CL80067 accessory models. Only one phone jack is required for the base unit.
