Product Overview
The Victiv AT40 is an 80-inch aluminum heavy-duty camera tripod designed for stability and versatility. It features a 360° panoramic ball head, twist locks for secure leg adjustments, and the ability to convert into a monopod. Setup Instructions
1. Unfolding the Tripod
To unfold the tripod, release the leg angle adjustment plate buckles on each leg. Extend the legs outwards until they are stable. The legs feature twist locks for secure height adjustment. Rotate the twist locks counter-clockwise to loosen and extend the leg sections, then rotate clockwise to tighten and secure them at the desired height.

2. Attaching Your Device
The tripod comes with a quick release (QR) plate. Attach this plate to the 1/4" screw mount on the bottom of your camera or the universal phone holder. Once attached, slide the QR plate into the ball head receiver and secure it using the locking knob.

3. Monopod Conversion
To convert the tripod into a monopod, locate the detachable tripod leg (usually marked or with a foam grip). Unscrew this leg from the tripod body. Then, unscrew the center column from the tripod body and attach the detachable leg to the center column. This creates a height-adjustable monopod (31"-81").

Operating Instructions
1. Adjusting Height and Angle
The tripod legs feature twist locks for quick and secure height adjustments. Rotate the locks to extend or retract each leg section. The leg angle adjustment plate buckles allow you to set the leg angles for various shooting scenarios, from narrow stances to wide, stable setups.

2. Using the 360° Panoramic Ball Head
The 36mm ball head allows for 360-degree panoramic shots, elevation shots, and top-down shots. The large knob controls the rotation of the sphere, enabling flexible camera positioning. The small knob controls the horizontal rotation of the head for precise panoramic adjustments. U-shaped grooves facilitate vertical shooting.

3. Macro and Low-Angle Photography
For macro photography, the center column can be inverted, allowing the camera to be positioned very close to the ground. For low-angle shots, replace the standard center column with the included short 4-inch tube and adjust the leg angles to their maximum spread.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your Victiv AT40 tripod, regularly clean the leg sections and locking mechanisms to prevent dust and debris buildup. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid exposing the tripod to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals. Periodically check all screws and joints for tightness and re-tighten if necessary using the provided L-wrenches.
Troubleshooting
Tripod Instability
- Ensure all leg twist locks are fully tightened after extending the legs.
- Verify that the leg angle adjustment buckles are securely locked in place.
- For added stability, especially in windy conditions, hang a weight (like your camera bag) from the hook located at the bottom of the center column.
Camera Not Secure on Ball Head
- Make sure the quick release plate is firmly attached to your camera's 1/4" screw.
- Ensure the quick release plate is fully inserted into the ball head receiver and the locking knob is tightened.
