Introduction
The Trevi ME 3P80 RC weather station provides comprehensive indoor and outdoor weather information. Its large backlit LCD displays time, weather forecasts with icons, air temperature, humidity percentage, and atmospheric pressure. Three external sensors allow for temperature and humidity detection in three different environments (external and internal), along with recording maximum and minimum values.
Package Contents
- 1x Trevi ME 3P80 RC Main Unit
- 3x Wireless External Sensors
- 1x User Manual
Safety Information
- Do not expose the main unit or sensors to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or moisture.
- Use only the specified battery type (AAA) and ensure correct polarity.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
- Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
- Keep the device out of reach of children.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Contact qualified service personnel.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
For the Main Unit:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit.
- Insert 3 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
For Each External Sensor:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the sensor.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.

2. Sensor Placement
- Place external sensors in locations that accurately reflect the desired outdoor or additional indoor environment.
- Avoid direct sunlight or rain exposure for outdoor sensors to ensure accurate readings and prolong sensor life.
- Ensure sensors are within the wireless range of the main unit (typically up to 30 meters in open air).

3. Initial Synchronization
After inserting batteries into both the main unit and sensors, the main unit will automatically search for and connect to the sensors. This process may take a few minutes. Ensure all units are relatively close during initial setup.

4. Time and Date Setting
The Trevi ME 3P80 RC features a radio-controlled clock. Upon initial power-up, it will attempt to synchronize with the atomic clock signal. This process can take several hours, especially in areas with weak signals. Manual time adjustment options are typically available if automatic synchronization is not desired or successful.
- Refer to the specific buttons on your device (e.g., "MODE", "SET", "+", "-") to manually adjust time, date, and 12/24-hour format if needed.
Operating Instructions
Display Overview
The large LCD display shows various information simultaneously:
- Time: Current time (12/24h format).
- Indoor Temperature & Humidity: Readings from the main unit.
- External Sensor Readings: Temperature and humidity from up to three external sensors (labeled 1, 2, 3).
- Weather Forecast: Icons indicating predicted weather conditions (e.g., sunny, cloudy, rainy).
- Atmospheric Pressure: Current barometric pressure.
- Moon Phase: Icon indicating the current moon phase.
Understanding Weather Forecast Icons
The weather station analyzes atmospheric pressure changes to predict weather for the next 12-24 hours. The icons are indicative and not a guarantee of actual weather conditions.
- Example icons: Sun (clear), Sun with clouds (partly cloudy), Clouds (cloudy), Rain cloud (rainy), Snow cloud (snowy).
Viewing Max/Min Values
The unit stores maximum and minimum temperature and humidity values for both indoor and each external sensor. Press the "MAX/MIN" button (or similar, refer to device buttons) to cycle through current, maximum, and minimum readings. To reset these values, typically press and hold the "MAX/MIN" button.
Alarm Function
To set the alarm:
- Press the "ALARM" button (or similar) to enter alarm setting mode.
- Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the hour and minute.
- Press "ALARM" again to confirm and exit.
- To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the "ALARM" button once while in normal time display mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and sensors with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in the main unit and sensors when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section.
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display on main unit. | Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted. | Check battery polarity and replace with new AAA batteries. |
| External sensor readings not displayed. | Sensor out of range, dead batteries, or synchronization issue. | Move sensor closer to the main unit. Replace sensor batteries. Re-synchronize by removing and re-inserting batteries in both units. |
| Inaccurate temperature/humidity readings. | Sensor exposed to direct sunlight, heat sources, or moisture. | Relocate sensors to a shaded, well-ventilated area away from direct elements. |
| Radio-controlled time not synchronizing. | Weak signal, interference, or unit too far from signal source. | Move the main unit near a window or to a location with better reception. Allow several hours for synchronization. Manually set time if necessary. |
