4. Setup Guide
4.1. Initial Preparation
Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The camera requires a 2.4GHz connection for initial setup.
Unpack all components and ensure nothing is missing.
Choose a suitable outdoor location for installation, ensuring access to a 12V-2A power supply.
4.2. App Installation and Registration
Download the Tuya Smart App: Scan the QR code provided in the user manual or search for "Tuya Smart" in your mobile device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
Open and Register: Open the Tuya Smart application. If you are a new user, click "Sign Up" and follow the on-screen prompts to create an account. If you already have an account, click "Log In."
Allow Permissions: Grant necessary permissions (e.g., location, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) when prompted by the app to ensure successful device pairing.

4.3. Device Pairing
Power On: Connect the camera to the power adapter. The camera will power on and initiate a self-check.
Reset Device: If the indicator light is not flashing rapidly or a prompt tone is not heard, locate the reset button (refer to Figure 2.1) and press it until the camera indicates it's ready for pairing.
Add Device in App: In the Tuya Smart app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner or "Add Device." Select "Smart Camera" under the "Security & Video Surveillance" category.
Confirm Wi-Fi: Confirm your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz and enter your Wi-Fi password.
Scan QR Code: The app will display a QR code. Position your camera to scan this QR code from 15 to 20 cm (approximately 6-8 inches) away. The camera will emit a prompt tone upon successful scan.
Complete Pairing: Tap "I Heard a Prompt" in the app. The camera will begin connecting. Once "Added successfully" appears, you can rename your camera (e.g., "Patio Camera") and tap "Done."

5. Operating Your Camera
5.1. Live View and PTZ Control
Once connected, access the live feed from your camera via the Tuya Smart app. Use the on-screen joystick or swipe gestures to control the camera's 355° pan and 90° tilt for a full 360° view of your surroundings.

5.2. Two-Way Audio
The camera features a built-in microphone and speaker, enabling two-way communication. Tap the microphone icon in the app to speak through the camera, and listen to audio from the camera's location.

5.3. Smart Detection and Auto Tracking
The camera supports motion and sound detection. When motion is detected, the camera can automatically track the moving object and record the activity. You can configure alerts (sound, blue and red lights alarm, app push notifications) to deter intruders.

5.4. Night Vision
The 1080P HD camera provides clear images during the day and automatically switches to infrared night vision in low-light conditions, offering visibility up to 98 feet.

The camera supports local storage via a Micro SD card (up to 128GB, not included) and encrypted secure cloud storage (subscription required). This ensures your recordings are protected against footage loss.

Cleaning: Regularly wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Firmware Updates: Check the Tuya Smart app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware updated ensures optimal performance and security.
Power Supply: Ensure the power supply connection is secure and protected from extreme weather conditions. Utilize the provided waterproof connectors.
Network Stability: Maintain a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection for uninterrupted operation.
