2. Important Safety Information
- This electric firebox is designed for use with Real Flame mantels only. It is not intended to be mounted or trimmed in.
- Ensure adequate airflow to the back of the unit. Do not block air vents.
- The unit provides supplemental heat. Do not use as a primary heat source.
- Always plug the power cord into a standard 120V/60Hz outlet. Do not use extension cords.
- Keep combustible materials at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) away from the front of the firebox.
- Do not operate the firebox if the power cord is damaged or if the unit malfunctions.
- This product is CSA and FCC certified for safety.
- The glass panel does not get hot during operation, making it safer for households with children or pets.

5. Setup and Installation
The Real Flame Landscape Electric Firebox is designed for integration with compatible Real Flame mantels. It is not intended for recessed or trimmed-in installations. Ensure the chosen location allows for proper air circulation around the unit.
5.1 Dimensions
Refer to the diagram below for precise measurements to ensure compatibility with your mantel or space.

5.2 Placement
Position the firebox within the designated opening of your Real Flame mantel. Use the provided mounting brackets and hardware to secure the unit in place according to the mantel's assembly instructions. Ensure the power cord can reach a standard 120V outlet without strain.

6. Operating Instructions
Your electric firebox can be operated using either the included remote control or the touch controls located on the unit.
6.1 Remote Control
The remote control allows convenient adjustment of all firebox functions from a distance.

- Power Button: Turns the unit ON/OFF.
- Flame Color Button: Cycles through multiple flame colors (orange, red-orange, white, blue, blue-white, multicolor).
- Flame Brightness Buttons (Up/Down Arrows): Adjusts the flame brightness through five levels.
- Heat Button: Activates/deactivates the heating function.
- Thermostat Buttons (Up/Down Arrows): Adjusts the desired temperature setting.
- Timer Button: Sets the automatic shut-off timer.
6.2 Touch Controls
The touch controls are located on the upper right side of the firebox panel.

6.3 Flame Settings
The VividFlame Infrared technology provides stunning realism with multiple flame options:

- Brightness Levels: Five adjustable brightness levels to suit your preference.
- Flames can be operated independently of the heat function for year-round ambiance.
6.4 Heat Settings
The firebox provides supplemental heat with an adjustable thermostat.
- Heat Output: 5,000 BTUs.
- Heating Power: 1,500W.
- Adjustable Thermostat: Six settings available in Fahrenheit (71, 75, 78, 82, 86, 99 °F) or Celsius (22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 60 °C).
- The thermostat automatically shuts off the heater when the desired temperature is reached.
6.5 Timer Function
Set the firebox to automatically turn off after a specified duration.
- Various timer intervals ranging from 10 minutes to 9 hours.

7. Maintenance
- Always disconnect the power before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Periodically check the air vents for dust or debris and clean as necessary to maintain proper airflow.
- The flame effect uses LED technology and does not require bulb replacement.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the unit is properly plugged into a working outlet. Check the circuit breaker.
- No Heat: Verify the heat function is activated. Check the thermostat setting; the heater will turn off once the set temperature is reached.
- Remote Not Working: Replace the remote control batteries. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the firebox sensor.
- Overheating Protection: The unit is equipped with an automatic overheating shut-off feature. If the unit overheats, it will power down. Unplug the unit, allow it to cool for 15-20 minutes, and ensure vents are clear before restarting.
