Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of your Teleco Teleplus 3G directional terrestrial antenna. This antenna is specifically designed for use in motorhomes and caravans, offering high gain for receiving weak digital terrestrial signals (UHF and VHF).
Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation to ensure correct usage and optimal performance.
Installation and Setup
Unpacking
Carefully unpack all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts are present and undamaged before proceeding with installation.
Mounting the Antenna
The Teleplus 3G antenna is designed to be mounted on a mast. The compatible mast diameter (not supplied) is 30 mm.
- Securely attach the antenna mounting bracket to the mast.
- Ensure the mast is firmly fixed to your motorhome or caravan, providing a stable base for the antenna.
- Attach the antenna unit to the mounting bracket, allowing for directional adjustment.

Electrical Connections
Connect the antenna cable to the supplied adjustable amplifier. The amplifier supports 12V, 24V, and 220V power inputs.
- Connect the antenna's coaxial cable to the "ANT IN" port on the amplifier.
- Connect your television or receiver to the "TV OUT" port on the amplifier using a coaxial cable.
- Connect the amplifier to a suitable power source (12V/24V DC in your vehicle or 220V AC mains).

Operation
Powering On and Signal Search
Once all connections are secure, power on the amplifier and your television.
- Turn on the amplifier using its power switch.
- On your television, select the correct input source (e.g., "Antenna" or "DTV").
- Initiate an automatic channel scan on your television.

Adjusting Antenna Direction
The Teleplus 3G is a directional antenna, meaning its performance is optimized when pointed towards the broadcast tower.
- While performing a channel scan or viewing a channel, slowly rotate the antenna horizontally.
- Observe the signal strength indicator on your television (if available) or the quality of the picture.
- Stop rotating when you achieve the best possible signal reception.
Amplifier Gain Adjustment
The amplifier features an adjustable gain control. This allows you to optimize signal strength, especially in areas with very weak or very strong signals.
- If the signal is weak, gradually increase the amplifier gain.
- If the signal is too strong (causing pixelation or signal overload), gradually decrease the amplifier gain.
- Adjust until a clear and stable picture is achieved.
Maintenance
The Teleco Teleplus 3G antenna requires minimal maintenance to ensure long-lasting performance.
- Regularly check all cable connections for corrosion or damage.
- Keep the antenna clean from dirt, dust, and debris. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Inspect the mounting hardware periodically to ensure it remains secure, especially after travel.
Troubleshooting
No Signal / Poor Picture Quality
- Check all cable connections between the antenna, amplifier, and television. Ensure they are tight and secure.
- Ensure the amplifier is powered on and receiving power from its source.
- Re-adjust the antenna direction. Slowly rotate it to find the optimal signal.
- Adjust the amplifier gain. Too little or too much gain can result in poor signal or signal overload.
- Perform a new channel scan on your television.
- Verify that digital terrestrial broadcast is available and strong enough in your current location.
Amplifier Not Powering On
- Check the power source (12V/24V/220V) connection to the amplifier.
- Ensure the power outlet or vehicle's power supply is functional.
- Inspect the power cable for any damage.
