Safety Information

Airsoft guns are not toys. Always handle them with the same respect and caution as real firearms. Misuse can cause serious injury or death. Always wear appropriate eye protection when handling or operating this airsoft rifle.

  • Always wear eye protection: Use ANSI Z87.1 rated full-seal eye protection when operating or near airsoft guns.
  • Treat every airsoft gun as if it were loaded: Never point an airsoft gun at anything you do not intend to shoot.
  • Keep your finger off the trigger: Until your sights are on the target and you are ready to shoot.
  • Be sure of your target and what is beyond it: BBs can ricochet or travel further than expected.
  • Use appropriate BBs: Only use high-quality, seamless 6mm airsoft BBs. Do not reuse BBs.
  • Transport safely: Always transport your airsoft rifle in a gun bag or case, unloaded, with the magazine removed, and the safety engaged.
  • Orange Tip: The orange tip on the barrel is a legal requirement and should not be removed or altered.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Lancer Tactical Gen 2 CQB MOD 0 AEG LT-02 requires a compatible airsoft battery (not included). Typically, the battery is housed in the stock or handguard. Consult your specific model for exact battery compartment location and connection type (e.g., Tamiya connector).

  1. Ensure the rifle is on 'SAFE' mode.
  2. Locate the battery compartment (often in the adjustable stock).
  3. Connect the battery to the rifle's wiring harness.
  4. Carefully tuck the battery and wires into the compartment and close the cover.

2. Magazine Loading

The included high-capacity magazine holds up to 300 rounds.

  1. Open the loading gate on top of the magazine.
  2. Pour 6mm airsoft BBs into the magazine reservoir.
  3. Close the loading gate.
  4. Wind the wheel at the bottom of the magazine until you hear a change in sound or feel increased resistance, indicating BBs are fed into the feeding tube.
  5. Insert the loaded magazine firmly into the magazine well until it clicks into place.

3. Adjusting the Stock

The adjustable stock allows for comfortable shouldering and battery storage.

  • Press the lever located on the underside of the stock.
  • Slide the stock to your desired length.
  • Release the lever to lock the stock in position.

4. Attaching Accessories

The rifle features Picatinny rails for attaching various accessories such as optics, lights, and grips.

  • Align the accessory with the rail.
  • Secure the accessory using its mounting mechanism (screws, quick-release levers, etc.).

  • SAFE: Prevents the rifle from firing. Always engage 'SAFE' when not actively shooting.
  • SEMI-AUTO: Fires one BB per trigger pull.
  • FULL-AUTO: Fires continuously as long as the trigger is held down.

2. Firing Instructions

  1. Ensure eye protection is worn.
  2. Insert a loaded magazine.
  3. Select the desired firing mode ('SEMI-AUTO' or 'FULL-AUTO').
  4. Aim at your target.
  5. Pull the trigger to fire.
  6. When finished, switch the selector to 'SAFE', remove the magazine, and clear the chamber by firing a few dry shots in semi-auto mode (pointing in a safe direction).

3. Hop-Up Adjustment

The hop-up system applies backspin to the BB, increasing its range and accuracy. Adjustment is typically done via a rotary dial or slider located in the ejection port.

  2. Adjust the dial/slider:
    • Turn clockwise (or slide forward) to increase hop-up (BBs fly higher).
    • Turn counter-clockwise (or slide backward) to decrease hop-up (BBs fly lower).
  3. Release the charging handle.
  4. Test fire and adjust as needed to achieve a flat trajectory.

Maintenance

1. Barrel Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the inner barrel is crucial for accuracy and preventing jams.

  1. Ensure the rifle is unloaded and on 'SAFE'.
  2. Attach a small piece of cleaning cloth to the end of the cleaning rod.
  3. Apply a small amount of silicone oil (specifically for airsoft) to the cloth.
  4. Gently push the cleaning rod through the barrel from the muzzle end until it exits the hop-up chamber.
  5. Repeat with a clean, dry cloth until no residue is visible.

2. Gearbox Maintenance

The gearbox is a complex internal component. For advanced maintenance or repairs, it is recommended to seek professional airsoft technician services. Avoid disassembling the gearbox unless you are experienced.

3. Battery Care

  • Always use a charger compatible with your battery type (NiMH, LiPo, etc.).
  • Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • For LiPo batteries, use a LiPo safe charging bag and store them at a storage voltage.
