Setup and Installation

Professional installation is recommended for this product. Ensure the vehicle's power is disconnected before beginning installation.

  1. Mounting: Use the provided mounting bracket and hardware to securely attach the overhead monitor to the vehicle's ceiling. Ensure the mounting location does not interfere with airbags or other vehicle safety features.
  2. Wiring Connections: Connect the wiring harness to the vehicle's power, ground, and accessory circuits. Refer to the wiring diagram for specific connections. Connect audio/video input/output cables as needed for external devices.
  3. FM Modulator Connection (Optional): If using the hardwired FM adapter (FMDIRB, sold separately), connect it to the FM Out port.
  4. Bezel Installation: Choose the appropriate snap-on bezel (Black, Shale, or Pewter) to match your vehicle's interior and attach it to the unit.
  5. Power On and Test: Reconnect vehicle power and test all functions of the overhead monitor, including DVD playback, HDMI input, USB, SD, and FM modulator.

Operating Instructions

The system can be operated using the buttons on the unit or the included remote control.

Basic Controls

DVD Playback

  1. Insert a DVD disc into the slot. The unit should automatically switch to DVD mode and begin playback.
  2. Use the playback controls on the unit or remote to manage your movie.

HDMI Input

  1. Connect your HDMI-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, streaming stick) to the HDMI input port.
  2. Select HDMI as the source using the Source button.

USB/SD Media Playback

  1. Insert a USB drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
  2. Select USB or SD as the source. The unit will display the media files.
  3. Navigate and select files using the remote control or unit buttons.

FM Modulator

  1. Activate the FM modulator function from the system menu.
  2. Tune your vehicle's FM radio to an unused frequency.
  3. Set the FM modulator on the overhead unit to the same frequency. Audio from the unit will now play through your vehicle's speakers.

Dome Lights

The built-in dome lights can be controlled independently, typically with a switch on the unit itself, providing additional interior lighting.
