Package Contents

Your Serta Twin Electric Blanket package includes:

  • 1 Serta Twin Heated Blanket (62"W x 84"L)
  • 1 Controller with LCD Display

Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Blanket: Carefully remove the electric blanket and controller from its packaging.
  2. Position the Blanket: Lay the electric blanket flat on your bed, ensuring it is spread out evenly without any folds or wrinkles. The connector for the controller should be positioned at the foot end of the bed, or in a location that allows the controller to rest on a nightstand or accessible surface without being covered.
  3. Connect the Controller: Locate the connector on the blanket and firmly plug the controller cord into it. Ensure a secure connection.
  4. Plug into Power: Plug the power cord of the controller into a standard 120V/60Hz electrical outlet. Ensure the cord is not pinched between the bed and wall or furniture. The power cord is 6ft long, and the controller cord is 11ft long.

  1. Power On/Off: Press the 'ON/OFF' button on the controller to turn the blanket on or off. The LCD display will illuminate when the blanket is active.

Storage

To prolong the life of your electric blanket, store it properly when not in use, especially at the end of the season.

  • Ensure the blanket is completely dry before storing.
  • Roll the blanket loosely rather than folding it tightly. This helps prevent damage to the internal heating wires.
  • Do not compress the blanket or place heavy objects on top of it during storage, as this can damage the wires and affect functionality.
  • Store in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

Q: Why is my light blinking?

A: Unplug and reconnect the blanket to try again. Ensure the controller is well connected to the blanket. If the issue persists, please contact customer support.

Q: My controller feels warm to the touch. Is this a problem?

A: No. The control will feel warm (not hot) to the touch when functioning properly. Even when the controller is on, small amounts of electricity will cycle through it, which may make the controller warm. This is normal operation.
