2. Safety Information

• This product is ETL certified and independently tested to meet high safety standards.
• DO NOT LEAVE CONTROLLER COVERED WHEN IN USE TO AVOID OVERHEATING. Ensure controllers are always exposed to air.
• Do not use with a power strip, extension cord, or splitter. Plug directly into a wall outlet.
• Do not use this heated product on waterbeds, bunk beds, adjustable mechanical beds, or children's cribs and beds.
• Always unplug the mattress pad from the power outlet before cleaning or storing.

4. Setup Instructions

1. Unpack the Serta Waterproof Heated Mattress Pad from its packaging.
2. Lay the mattress pad flat on your mattress, ensuring it is centered and smooth.
3. The deep pocket design with all-around elastic fits most premium mattresses up to 17 inches thick. Secure the elasticized skirt around the sides and corners of your mattress for a snug fit.
4. Connect the controller(s) to the mattress pad. Ensure the connection is firm.
5. Plug the power cord(s) into a standard 120V/60Hz wall outlet. The power cord is 6 feet long, and the controller cord is 11 feet long for easy reach.

5. Operating Instructions

The Serta Heated Mattress Pad features user-friendly controllers for personalized comfort.

5.1 Power On/Off

• Press the 'ON/OFF' button on the controller to turn the mattress pad on or off.

5.2 Heat Settings

• Use the '+' and '-' buttons to select from 10 heat settings. The current heat level will be displayed on the LCD screen.
• Start with a lower setting and adjust as needed for your desired warmth.

5.3 Auto Shut-Off Timer

• Press the 'TIMER/HEAT' button to cycle through the auto shut-off timer settings, from 1 to 12 hours, in 1-hour increments.
• The timer ensures the pad automatically turns off after the selected duration for safety and energy conservation.

5.4 Dual Control (Queen and Larger Sizes)

• Queen and larger sizes come with two controllers, allowing independent temperature adjustment for each side of the bed.
• Each user can set their preferred heat level and timer duration without affecting the other side.

6. Maintenance & Care

The Serta Waterproof Heated Mattress Pad is machine washable for easy care.

1. Before Washing: Always unplug the controller(s) from the mattress pad and the wall outlet.
2. Washing: Machine wash on a gentle or delicate cycle with cold water and minimal detergent. Do not bleach.
3. Drying: Remove immediately after the spin cycle. Tumble dry on low or medium heat for 5 minutes. Gently stretch and hang to finish drying. Do not use clothespins. Do not iron.
4. Storage: When storing, roll the mattress pad rather than folding it to prolong its life and prevent damage to the internal wires. Do not compress it or place heavy objects on top.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Blinking Light on Controller

If the light on your controller is blinking, unplug the mattress pad and reconnect it. Ensure all connections are secure. If the issue persists, please contact customer support.

7.2 Controller Feels Warm to the Touch

It is normal for the controller to feel warm (not hot) to the touch during operation. This indicates that the control is functioning properly as small amounts of electricity cycle through it.

7.3 Pop Sound or Smoke Smell

If you hear a pop sound or smell smoke, it is not a dangerous situation. This likely indicates that the fuse in the controller has blown for safety reasons, disabling the product. The product is designed to safely disable itself in such an event. Please contact customer support for assistance.

7.4 Uneven Heating or Cold Spots
